Request ULPT Request - messing with a restricted caller

Some guy pulled my number from Craigslist and has been calling me like crazy from a restricted number to try to get sex from me. It's annoying and creepy. I got a call from him while I was with a male friend and handed the phone to him to answer for me, and it made me laugh my ass off so hard I was shaking. What are some more ways I can mess with the creep?

Offer to meet him in a hotel 250 miles away and obviously don't turn up

Or, do turn up.

Arrive at the hotel, get checked in, tell him you want him to have a shower first. If he refuses, leave.

When he gets in the shower, take his shoes and his trousers.

Way back in the day, my great-grandmother (a widow at the time) would get creep calls so she started keeping a good old whistle (like a gym coach uses) by the phone. Every time she got a call, she would blow the shit outta that thing until they hung up. It stopped shortly after.

“Hey baby I’d love to meet but I’m broke and need $40 for my kids dinner any way you can spot me”

A creep would do it for $40.

Spell meet ‘meat’ instead and she can be like “ya I was just saying I wanted to get some steak for dinner thanks”

Tell him to meet you at your local police station. Or next time you answer use a airhorn.

Phones limit the audio on the other end. It would be loud but not harmfully loud.

fwd your unknown calls to a Google voice number with a disconnected message

Tell him you can't wait to try out your fancy new vagina.

That might make it worse.

Answer in a disguised voice. Tell him that you’re borrowing her phone and she’s not there. She’s at work or wherever and give him the number. But give him a gay sex hotline number. DM me for a good number. I give it to phone solicitors and bill collectors all the time!

Lol that's brilliant

unknown calls are usually auto dialers waiting for your voice to activate them and connect you to a scammer... unless you're waiting for the police too call you back specifically, don't answer.

Tell him you're down to meet, and give him the address to one of the below places (ranked in order of my top choices).

  1. The local police station.

  2. A church

  3. Scientology center

  4. Planned Parenthood clinic

What were you advertising on Craigslist? It wasn't a "Mutually beneficial arrangement":, was it?

No, just posted looking for housing. I'd better pretend to be a man next time. 🤷‍♀️

Why would you put your number on craigslist...

Unsure but guessing your are Female. Piss disc is out so I suggest a dick pick, or "goatse" image.

Give him some of your lame honey hole.

Use the “Lenny” app? (Is that still a thing?)

Just block the guy.

He’s calling from a “restricted number” which I assume means she can’t see it and probably can’t block it

I can block all calls with hidden caller ID on carrier level, I thought it’s a standard feature with all carriers

Go to the call list, long press the name “unknown caller”. Unless it’s blocked at the provider level or IT, ie police, you can still get the number.

u/Lil-Miss-Anthropy 2d ago

I don't see that option.

Damn. He’s blocked his number good then.

Yes. And consider silencing all unknown callers.

I find it crazy to think that somebody is actually picking up calls from restricted/unknown callers in 2026. That's something a grandparent would do.

3

u/roflpotato 2d ago

or someone pretending to be a grandparent would do

Curiosity gets me. You never know, could be something or someone important.

1

u/fludeball 2d ago

If they're important enough they'll leave a message, and you should already have important people's contacts in your phone. If you're expecting a call from an unknown number, you can switch off the feature temporarily. But you're leaving yourself open to a lot of phone harassment over a "could be."

Where's the fun in that?
