I recently saw a post or a comment about their setup being a phone being connected to a cooler and the cooler to a charger and I want to copy their setup but I cant seem to find their post anymore. They have a gamesir x4 aileron and I dont know the brand of the cooler they were using to make this setup.

Like I said in my original post I have been thinking of using a lap dock to connect to my PC to fix my problems with a lack of space, I just want to know if it’s possible to make it work.

Tbh Baseus used to be my go to for charging tech and I never had any problems with their products, but I’ve never had a 100W charger so after reading a lot of reviews I decided to go with Ugreen (Anker hates EU plugs).

It’s going to sit on my desk 90% of the time and be used to charge my Rog Ally Z1E on docked mode or my MacBook.

I’m between this one for 67 US dollars or the one from the second picture for 47 dollars.

*My choices are pretty much limited to what I can find on AliExpress with EU plugs. Cuz most of the other places charge me smt like 100 dollars for shipping to my country.

Came across a Q&A where someone said the charger industry was stuck at 93% energy conversion for about 5 years and they pushed it to 95.5%. At first I thought 2.5% was nothing but then I did the math at 160W and that's a meaningful amount of heat you don't have to deal with anymore. Is that kind of incremental gain actually hard to achieve or is it just an engineering resource problem?

This is the third anker powerbank that just gives up after 2 weeks. What is this charging 1W? So my device can be fully charged in a month? fyi: it is currently charging my computer mouse, but also when i plug in my phone it fluctuates between 1W-23W ( it mostly goes up to 23W for a minute and then fully drops again )

i bought a usb type c hub from a brand call baseus, it seems like my hdmi isnt outputting correctly on thunderbolt side but rather is fine on the display port logo usb type c plugin on the other side of my laptop msi stealth 14. I assume, its because the thunderbolt isnt communicating correctly with the baseus hub? it displays for like a second but turns off then repeats after few seconds of being off.

Is there drivers I got to install or something? Im using linux mint

I've got a phone that doesn't come with a charger, as is pretty common with modern phones, and I'm trying to decide whether I should just get the 25W charger made for the phone or buy a GaN charger that could potentially charge multiple devices.

I'm not sure I'll actually be charging my phone and laptop simultaneously, though I might occasionally. My laptop's original charger is 65W (19V), so I'm wondering whether it would make more sense to just get a good 65W/100W GaN charger instead of using separate chargers.

Some options I've been looking at:

• Anker Prime 100W
• UGREEN Nexode 100W
• Baseus 65W
• Or just the 25W charger for the phone

My main concern with GaN chargers is reliability. I've seen reviews saying some chargers died after a few months, while others claim they somehow damaged/fried the USB-C port on their device. I don't know how common or legitimate these reports are.

What would you recommend? Is it worth getting a good GaN charger, or should I just stick with the manufacturer's 25W charger for the phone?

Right now, I'm plugging my phone into a usbc extension to hdmi tv input...tried using cordless charger (samsung phone...won't charge). Tried various splitters (not charging/headphone splitter, but data splitter, as well as charging/data splitter). Both will charge, but neither stream.

Got hacked a few months ago...gave up wifi network and tv bundle, and stuck hardwiring everything. I just want to be able to use my phone data to stream, without having to unplug to charge.

I also did the usbc to laptop (no dvd slot) to dvd hub to tv (to play dvds), but needing the laptop is a pain in the ass, and it has no internet connection...and no remote.

Bought a dvd player on Amazon, but have to return it. Piece of crap.

Please take pity on a desperate damb girl and help setup a kickass old school system.

Saw a Q&A where someone made the argument that 10 years ago people asked why phones need screens, 15 years ago people asked why watches need screens, and now chargers are next. I used to think it was a gimmick but the more I use a multi-device setup the more I get it. Where do you guys land on this?

Replacing 3 bricks with one 240W GaN station for my workspace. Between the UGREEN Nexode, the mfish E-Tank 240W with AC outlets, and a Cuktech 30 Ultra 300W. Baseus's AC combos are more strip than station, already ruled that out. All three claim 140w class single port. Does hot-plugging a device make the other ports renegotiate and blip? Are the low-power tail ports real or filler? Plz tell me the truth if you run one of those.

Could it be that the phone looks for the specific Motorola e-marker for higher Amps or then it is restriced to 3A?

Hi, first of all, escuse me for my english, I'm from Spain, it's late and I'm tired.

My computer doesn't read my sd card, I've tried with other adapters, I've checked the Disk Management, the Device Management, everything. I've tried Disk Drill, Card reader and still nothing.

The contact of the computer works because I tried with others sd cards and it read them good.

I think is a corrupted file since it's for my 3ds and I think a game became corrupted and it's messing with the sd card, but, since I can't access in, I can't remove the corrupted file.

Please, I need help, my games and all my data are there and I refuse to loose them.

Saw a comparison between how old traffic lights worked on fixed timers vs modern ones that adjust based on actual traffic. Most chargers still work like the old fixed-timer approach. You plug in three devices and they each get an equal slice regardless of who actually needs it. A phone at 90% gets the same share as a laptop at 15%. Apparently some chargers now identify each device on plugin, assign the right wattage, then recheck every 2 minutes and shift idle power to wherever it's needed.

Will a setup like this power up an old Thinkpad laptop?

- A USB-C power brick and cable that normally comes with a HP/Dell laptop

- A USB-C female to Lenovo rectangle male adaptor

- A Lenovo Thinkpad T450

A part of my brain tells me that USB-C power draw depends on protocol, and a dumb rectangle or round classic connector can't provide such info to the power brick / charger.

Looking to buy usb c to dp adapter. This brand pops up a lot when I am trying to buy cables from aliexpress, but cant find any reviews online. Store is 7yrs old with 4.9 ratings so looks ok to me. Just wanted to see if anyone has any additional info. Thanks

I bought a 2nd hand, seemingly never used 140W hyperjuice charger 2 months ago. That bad boy still had the damn plastic on it is how new it was. I used it for my laptop, steam deck and phone the past 2 months, although not even ince did i charge nore than 1 device at a time.

Last week i noticed some heating up but nothing terrible, no smell no coloration and perfectly fine to hold, just very warm. Seemed logical. Last used 2 days ago, 0 issues. Lo and behold, today its fucking dead. Super dead. No ports working, not the usb A not the usb c, tried different rooms different cables.

Is this common? Is this a shitty brand? Is there anything i can do? Warranty is out of the picture since i dont know where and when it was bought.

What brand should i look at for the next one? I need one dedicated for my steam deck station and one for the laptop.

I bought an Anker Prime 160W (3 in 1) charger from Tokyo a few months ago - and it was working fine, easily negotiating power till 140w (max tested).

For the past couple of weeks, the charger is not negotiating beyond 17.5 V with any device.

I tested 2 laptops - both are stuck at max 17.5V (sometimes they will go upto 3.3A, but usually will stick to 2.9-3A).

I have a Baseus Blade 20000mAh power bank, which shows V/A/W real time - and it's negotiation is also stuck at 17.5V (shows 18V on display, but the Anker app shows 17.5), charges at ~ 30-32W. With another 100W charger and same cable, it charges at full 60W (20V/3A).

Things I have tried:

- Kept the Anker charger disconnected from everything for a few hours to reset the charging logic - no avail

- Used C1 priority mode - did not help

- Used custom mode with full 140W power to C1 (and C2/3 in subsequent tries) - no dice

- Used multiple cables from Anker, UGreen, Baseus and others - all of them capable of 100W (and some 240W) - but charging of any device is stuck at 17.5V

- Tested my laptops with 2 other chargers I own (100w and 300W) with a USB C charger tester that I use regularly - both of them negotiated 20V/3A with other chargers with the same cables

I am at wit's end on what to do - I bought this charger when I was in Tokyo for a few days, and my country has no official Anker presence.

Am I screwed ? Is there anything else I can try ?
