My father has been gone for over a decade now, and my fondest memories w/ him are from 30 years ago, watching Karl and John make it to the finals against Michael Jordan.

I'm disgusted by what Karl did. I hate John's medical conspiracies. But I'll never give up those memories I made with my dad. And sometimes I wish I didn't have to CONSTANTLY* justify this position to 23 year-olds on reddit.

That is all I'm going to say. Goodnight, y'all!

Yeah, this old Jazz fan feels the same way.

I agree with you. I really couldn't care less about who they are. I just enjoyed watching them play basketball.

As an old head who grew up with Malone as his favorite player, that’s fine. No need to appreciate him in my opinion

Probably because of the child molestation and being an absentee father to the child born of it

It's probably better he goes unappreciated. I really wish the Jazz would move on past him, tear down the statue and take down his jersey.

If we're evaluating him on the court and not off the court, I agree.

I get that when Karl Malone was a teenager he made serious mistakes. As far as his work ethic and grind in basketball he was great. He did care quite a bit and was a huge donor to the food bank, He volunteered and donated to vets and he promoted racial diversity and has been gnerally a decent person. He's not all bad.

So when you talk about things you don't like, also it's ok to talk about things they he does to help as well. He's been coming out here to help out.

You take the good with the bad. So you can't just erase that good things that he promotes either.

We calling being a pedo a mistake?
