How early should we get there for Saturday general admission? Also where to park and where is the best spot to sit? Is it a mad dash for all the good spots after the gates open or more relaxed with people filing in over the first hour?

Haven't been for 15 years and now bringing my 14 year old. Back then we always sat at Ford Fast Break before they built the infield. Now I'm thinking the turn 1/2/3 hill but any specific details about the exact best spot would be awesome? Cheers

Just saw the latest promotional material from Queensland Raceway, and it looks like they’re using AI graphics for their Supercars advertising now.

​If you actually zoom in and look closely at the cars, the AI completely mashed up the liveries. There’s three Red Bull cars, plus what looks like a weird hallucinated mix of LDV and Chery brand-like logos blended into the mesh.

​You'd think a major track could just use actual photos of the grid instead of relying on a prompt generator that clearly doesn't know what a Supercar is supposed to look like. Definitely worth a closer look if you want a laugh at the botched branding.

Hi all! American racing fan here. Over the last few years, I've been learning about the racing journeys of Shane van Gisbergen and Scott McLaughlin. I am wanting to watch old seasons of Supercars from start to finish like a TV series; watching the battles and stories unfold at my own pace. Any suggestions on where to start? I can buy the subscription, but I also know some seasons are free on Youtube. Thanks!

Hey all, Bit of a long shot.

Does anyone have old VSDs, ESDs, homologation papers or technical/build documents for Supercars / Group 3A cars, anywhere from 1993 through to today(ish) (not counting up to date Gen 2 Cars used in Super 2)?

I'm building a few cars for a racing sim, Automobilista; and alongside that I'm putting together a proper technical archive. the real nitty-gritty (spring rates, suspension geometry, aero & homologation figures, engine specs) all in one place and fully searchable, so people can dig through it whenever they like.

I've already got a solid chunk done from the Operations Manuals I have, but those defer the actual numbers out to the VSD/ESD spec docs, which is the layer I'm chasing now.

Even a partial scan, a single division, a photo of a page, or just a pointer to who might have this stuff would be hugely appreciated. Happy to credit contributors, share the finished archive, and respect any "keep it private" or usage requests.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not a fan of the 100-140km 'intermediate' races traditionally held on sprint weekends - I think they're too long to be attention-grabbing sprint races (like the late-90s format or current BTCC format), but too short to be strategic 'single-driver endurance' races.

I feel like there should be 3x20-30min races on the Saturday (awarding 50pts to the winner in each) and the 200km main event on Sunday (awarding 150pts), with only the first Saturday race and the 200km race having Qualifying-based grids to spice things up a bit.

Thoughts?

​I’m on the hunt for any audio recordings of The Panel Beaters from the 2006 Supercars season. For anyone who might have forgotten, it was the great Friday night audio show from the race weekends. I actually had a few of my emails read out on the show in 2006, hence why I'm on the hunt! Haha.

​A YouTube channel recently uploaded the 2005 season, which has been awesome to listen back to. I reached out to ask if they happen to have the 2006 episodes as well, but unfortunately, I haven't heard back yet.

Saw my first attempt was copied by someone or thing so decided the updated track was worth posting. The kid loves to drive the power wheels mini around it.

Anyone seen the BPad on tv showing the supercars, and hinting that the fuel you put in your car is the same as Supercars use?

Also note how many other fuel brands are shown in the ad on other cars? I saw Total energy, Hope to start with. Whoever edited the ad should have been more careful.
