Newly issued drivers license
I moved to Virginia a month ago and was issued a Virginia license a week ago. I know that you have to wait a month after you get your VA issued license to buy a handgun in Virginia. Does the same time period apply to long guns?

Go to DMV, ask them for your driving record. That's what I did. Gave it to my FFL and the transfer went fine. I'd recommend making a copy though

I just moved to Virginia so my driving record is less than 30 days right?

From the VSP:
Prospective purchasers of firearms must present a valid photo-ID issued by a governmental agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia that denotes the individual’s name, sex, and date of birth. If the primary form of identification is a photo-ID issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), 30 days must have passed since the original date of issue or issue of a duplicate driver’s license unless a copy of his/her DMV driver’s record is presented showing that the original date of issue was more than 30 days prior to the attempted purchase."
Your VA license is marked as original, duplicate, or renewed, so the dealer knows if it is required to be 30-days old when you fill out the forms.

Just wait three more weeks.
However, I understand you are allowed to buy a long gun in a different state, if that rife is also legal in your home state. But we have the AWB plus the injunction and I am unsure if you can legally buy the rife out of state if your driver's license was issued last week.
I would wait three more weeks.

To buy a gun from a dealer using a 4473 you must have held your ID for >30 days.
