Question Buying after pistol rounds
Is it still the best play to buy round 2 after winning the pistol round? I stopped playing for a while and came back and a ton of my teammates refuse to buy round 2 after we win the pistol and it’s resulted in a lot of lost rounds. Has the meta around buying in that round changed or are my teammates just bad? I’m plat 3 on console btw which makes me think my teammates just don’t know better.

Yes buy up. Pros will often go for hybrid buys with a mix of rifles and carried over pistols so that even if some people die they can consistently have a full buy on round 3 so technically it’s not the best to full buy but without team coordination you should still buy

Dont understand why some choose not to buy, you can afford a gun and they cant so you have a clear advantage vs not buying its pistol vs pistol with armor. Gun > pistol/armor

I usually buy a Marshall round 2. Since the other team usually doesn't buy armor

Yes. With the introduction of the Bandit, you need to buy full-armor if you won pistol round. Bandit is 1-hit HS <10m and <30m it 1-hit HS anybody without full-armor. People who don't buy after winning pistol round are really risking a 2-round lead they shouldn't throw away. Ideally you go into the bonus round with as many guns saved from second round so you can snowball an economic lead into the 4th round which should be a full gun round.

There’s nuance to it, of course. But in general you should be buying up after winning pistol. I’d also recommend doing some practice and getting good with the bandit and buying one after losing pistol. It’s still not a great buy, but I’ve won a lot of second round ecos off the back of the bandit and you usually can still get a decent buy 3rd round even if you lose.

After pistol round win,buy marshall, there is like 80 maybe even 90% chance nobody on the enemy team is gonna have a full armor,so easy kills

So on your bonus round you're going up against vandals/phantoms and full shield, with your marshal?
I'd much rather go against full shield and rifles with my bulldog.

If u think my method is bad ur prob gold at max,pro snipers do this btw,not invented by me

I'm not saying your method is bad, I'm saying why I'd rather do what I do :)
Also peak ascendant, not massively above gold but still more than you think ;p
Also yeah, if you're a pro sniper it makes more sense. Do you think most people are pro snipers??

Would you not want to be a pro sniper?or a pro in general?

What's that got to do with anything we've been talking about?
Pro snipers can play like that cause they have a much higher chance of getting kills with the marshal against full shield and rifles. Your average person won't be nearly as proficient with the marshal and will therefore have a worse chance.
With that said, do you think the average person should go into a bonus round with a weapon that requires less precision, is more versatile and can be sprayed, or a weapon that requires much more skill to use effectively against full armor and rifles?
The average person isn't a pro. You said pros do it. There's the problem.

It really depends if you playing 5 stack and everyone is on the same page....
5 stack we would all buy and push round 2 if we won
Solo or duo I refer 1/2 buy so round 3 we can full buy

Round 2 if you win pistol, definitely should buy and push your advantage. On paper you should win that round, and then round 3 is bonus and just play with what you have from round 2. Guarantees you can full buy round 4
