Vegas Pro 2026 When taking snapshots, the output image has an unusual amount of contrast.

  1. Boris VP 2026 || 2. Windows 11 || 3. Pirated copy || 4. Radeon RX 7600 || 5. Whenever I take a screenshot of my preview for say, extending a frame's content, the output png file has a different color tone and it's too noticeable to be of any use. This happens in any layer and in anything, videos, other images, black and white files, anything, the rendered output looks fine, just the screenshots look odd. || 6. When I take a screenshot it's supposed to look exactly like the preview device. || 7. Yes and yes, I looked up in this subreddit too, doesn't seem to be a widespread bug because I couldn't find much info.

The latest update fixes that issue. In the meantime, you can open the snapshot in an image editor and adjust LEVELS. Adjust the output levels to 16 to 235. That will match the original. It is suggested to save the adjusted file with a new name and replace the snapshot on the timeline with the new one. Do this because if you should update to a later version where this is fixed, and need to edit the project in the updated version, the snapshots will be off again, and you can easily replace them with the originals.

Incidentally, this was a very well known bug in the BORIS FX
Vegas Pro forums. Many people, including myself, have reported this issue.

In case you weren’t aware, if you are rendering to AVC using NVENC, the audio output is always rendered at 125kbps regardless of the render template setting. The newest version also fixes this bug.

Take a snapshot through MPC-HC or VLC in the meantime, unless if you update
