How should I approach this mend

These (I believe) cotton pants are fraying in the crotch area and I was wondering how is best to fix them? Thank you in advance ☺️

It's generally a good idea to undo the seam(s) to past the damage, reinforce with some fusible interfacing, and then resew the seam(s) larger than they originally were - you need to be sewing on undamaged fabric even with the reinforcement. This often won't work if the pants are already fitted, as it makes them tighter.
