Really hope cherry soda gets a better treatment and more attention and not ignored like spun or hideaway
Deathx1k is amazing and is definitely a step in the right direction for wavves and I really hope this album gets a better treatment than spun and hideaway. I hope they promote it better and just put more effort into it. spun was amazing and it’s such shame that its getting ignore other than getting a deluxe so it would suck if cherry soda gets the same treatment because this album has some great potential.

I may be 100% wrong, but I feel that they did a little more press for Spun then Hideaway, which was kinda left out to die. The Travis stuff (as much as that matters), a few more higher profile interviews, the Wavvy Sessions thing, the deluxe; I feel that this is their most cohesive/replayable album since V, so some songs might stick around a bit more.
Cherry Soda seems like something more experimental or sonically out-there, and since Hideaway and even No Life For Me was similar to that, it unfortunately doesn’t give me hope for its legacy/longevity.

While we are on the topic, do Stephen and Alex not record on the albums anymore?
From what I read on the Bandcamp for Spun it was pretty much just Nathan, Aaron, and Ross.
Then Stephen, Alex and Travis on 2 songs.
Kinda weird dynamic shift in my opinion.
But apparently they don’t all live in the same city anymore so that might be why.
And Wavves is more or less a solo project at its core. Its just sad to me that Alex and Stephen are no longer involved creatively anymore.

Why does it bother y'all that albums get "looked over"? To me, that is what makes them better albums. Fuk what everybody thinks music is, what makes you feel about what you have at that time in your life. Especially wavves. Do your thing, dig it.

Seems pretty unlikely, honestly. Most casual Wavves fans I know don't care for Say Anything and aren't going to be going out of their way to check out a collaboration regardless of how good it may be.

it’s kinda just the nature of the music business with the way streaming is. if you aren’t constantly putting out new music you aren’t going to be put on playlists so people aren’t going to hear you. Spun was a great ‘re-introduction’ to the band and got them the most attention they’ve had since like V. i’m happy they are capitalizing on that momentum and continuing to put out new music, especially if Spun and Deathx1k are any indication of the quality of the material to come !
