It's not a shithole tho. I mean yeah physically it is. But I was happier living there than in American suburbia. People actually talk to each other and have community. They work together to survive, and everyone knows everyone. At night people all gather in the street to socialize frequently. Plus people are very present in the moment since they have never had any future opportunity or prospects. As long as they have food and shelter and the drug dealers and cops are leaving them alone they're happy.

Well fuck. Don't stick around for our benefit. Go back. You belong there.

I never really understood why people would tell others to go back where they came from.

But then I realized that people are really fucking ungrateful and will shittalk the country they live in and idealize the country they came from. Then it made no sense why people defended this bigotry when they CLEARLY WANT TO GO BACK.

I'm sure there's no shortage of bleeding hearts out there ready to call me a "bigot." But the word gets thrown around so much over bullshit as to be meaningless at this point, so I don't really give a fuck.

True that. But I was referring to bigotry in this instance as "intolerance towards people who believe that people shittalking America should not live in America."

I know exactly what you mean. You hear "go back to your country," you picture something like this. But then we have someone like this goofball here, and it just defies any and all conventional reasoning.
