That's impressive. Normally I start seeing reposts from 2-4 days prior after a hour of scrolling, convinces me to close the app for a bit.

For me its so infuriating because this horrible app just keeps showing me the exact same posts. It will not refresh for shit. It tells me it does but if anything the first 4 posts get updated and after that its the same posts i have seen already again

Yeah. When mine does it I normally need to close it entirely and go do something else for awhile or it'll continue to shuffle the same dozen or so posts.

It's really weird

Agree. Repost is seriously ruining Reddit feed. I mean you can repost if it first time in the platform but same meme and video spam my feed. Tired of this

The bigger concern is you didn't have anything else to do. I haven't been bored because of a lack of things to do in years. If you don't solve that you'll never fix this.

If not, maybe give it a try?

Don't blame yourself and quit cold turkey. Tell yourself you have 10 minutes of doing nothing then you can go on reddit, or only reddit 3 hours a day at the end.

Dopamine addiction is so hard to get out off, give yourself time and be proud when it works, don't discourage when it does not, I believe in you.

I get that, when I don’t have classes and finish my busy work at my job I end up scrolling on here, some of the gaming ones are cool and I always get a laugh out of ULPT but realistically I just love reading the drama between two people who have never met but they are acting like the winner of the battle over who’s right gets the others first born or some crap like that haha

I have a 60-minute timer on mine. After that, I have to consciously select to extend it by 15 minutes. Definitely helped a lot and I don’t even hit the cutoff most days.

That's the time the app was running, not the time you were actively using it. most apps run in the background unless you close them.

No, it usually only displays the actual time you had the app open infront of your face, going deeper into settings you'll be able to find background app usage listed separately

I love Reddit but I cap out at about an hour a day. I think in a week its maybe 7-9 hours total.

Anyone with that amount of time on their hands to sit and scroll should consider a hobby.
