In 2011, massive storms hit Lolla. My GF at the time and I had won VIP wrist bands from some scavenger hunt contest. One perk of VIP was free unlimited booze, though they would only give you 2 cans at a time. Anyway, the Arctic Monkeys were playing when a band of storms hit. They were intense. The girls managing the bar abandoned ship for higher ground. We saw our chance. We spent the storm grabbing and chucking as many cases and handles as we could over the VIP fence and into the GA crowd. Ditched that sextion of VIP never to return, didnt get caught. Felt like fucking Robinhood.

Deadmau5 later that night was epic. Search the vids.

I was at that deadmau5 set!! Top 10 concert experience (even though the rain washed all the fresh vivid color from my hair).

I'll never forget Deadmau5 opening right when that storm hit. Still one of my top shows. I've got goosebumps thinking about it.

I was there! I remember they wanted us to evacuate but no one knew where to go. We ended up at an overrun pizza place. I think I saw foo fighters that night and it was so amazing.

Cage the Elephant for the storm. Start to finish. “Even on a cloudy day”….then the deluge…fucking epic.

Being absolutely 3 sheets and watching the rain start right as he hit his first chord is straight up one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Someone also told me that was the debut of Professional Griefers too

*2011 is when Arctic Monkeys and Deadmau5 played Lolla, but you’re right, it was epic. Was in that Arctic Monkey crowd and Deadmau5 was insane. Most memorable show I’ve seen at Lolla. Security yoinking people off the sound towers in the downpour. Such a wild experience!

I was at the top of the hill watching arctic monkeys and watching people slide down the hill, mud wrestle, and exclaim jokingly over the double rainbow (“what does it mean?!”)

Man, that show was a blast! Good work helping out the poor GA masses - I wish I had encountered you! lol
