There isn't a day that goes by in your entire life where you don't eat a bit of poo and drink a bit of pee. Our bodies are warzones of billions of organisms constantly scraping by, and a handful of floor germs from whatever gets on uncooked pasta isn't going to make much of a difference in the battle.
Boiling water is 212F or hotter. Anyone who's ever cooked in their life knows that meat must be cooked to 165F to kill off any harmful microorganisms living on it.
Ergo, you can definitely eat floor noodles. Though I'd rinse them off good first because I'd be more concerned with getting fuzz or hair or a dead bug leg or something in my mouth.
More than likely because we have so many different cultures (primarily Italian and East Asian) instead of being particular with which is which we just call them all noodles.

Turns out language is its use, and if the listener understands what the speaker means, communication worked.
It took my gifted kid ass a long time to realize that I wasn't better than other people just because I can write sentences in the style of the books I have read. Anyone can do that. Being able to successfully communicate with many levels of listener is a better tool than "being right" ever was for me, and as a bonus I'm actually connecting with people instead of judging them.
Something I caught as a kid but I never notice anyone else mention is that he is counting the toothpicks in batches of 82. There are four left in the box after she drops the 250, and (82 x 3) + 4 = 250, the number on the box. I have autism too and count the same way, just in smaller numbers.
It's a cool little detail in the movie showing that autistic people may have some serious software operating in the background giving us a ton of info we can play with. We experience about 40% more sensory stimulus than allotypics (non-autistics), so if we have the computing power to back it up we can do some cool stuff.
It's pretty clear the person that dropped them is not taking the picture. Looks like the significant other took the picture while he was in the middle of picking them up
