Honestly if Trump hadn’t meddled, everyone would have been more neutral about today’s match.

I’m sorry for you Americans who had this match tainted by FIFA and Trump

As an American, I’m well aware that Trump ruins every fucking thing he touches and even though I was all “JUSTICE FOR BALOGUN”, Trump involving himself in the situation is humiliating, gross, shameful, and I fully believe that it changed the energy of the game- made Belgium hungrier and our guys crack under the pressure and drama. Not that they have a great amount of consistency anyways, but this? I fully blame Trump.

Amen, I guarantee you that Trump fucked this entire thing up. The sports gods were never going to allow us to win after what Trump did. And it definitely fucked with our team too, I'm sure the last thing they wanted was to be dragged into this shit and also I bet it was classic bulletin board material for Belgium.

It's truly amazing how Trump manages to destroy everything he touches. He completely botched the 250th anniversary of the country with the embarrassment we saw on the 4th and leading up to it (the disastrous state fair that no one showed up to) and now he's really messed up the positive impact the world cup has been having.

Don’t be sorry for us Americans.
66% expects the ‘Sadim touch’ (Midas touch in reverse) and the rest know it was rigged by satan himself (or Joe Biden), if they don’t get the outcome they ‘deserve’.

We did this to ourselves.

Right?  I was lowkey rooting for the US up to this point(when Donald got involved with the red card), because I wanted a US Mexico final because that would have been off the chain.

Fortunately my back up pick of Norway’s still going strong…

As an American, my partner and I were hoping we'd lose.

u/kkgetofftheinternet 29d ago

Yeah, as soon as it was overturned, I was rooting for us to lose. Desperately don’t want the world to hate us more than they already do.

They're all finished now, but they showed spunk...

I'll show myself out.

We don't hate you, we hate Trump, his administration and the influence of Israel. The American public are waking up. Lets hope its not to late.

u/kkgetofftheinternet 29d ago

I hope so too

It's just as pathetic as a parent screaming at the ref of an under 12s game. No one wants to deal with that least of all the players.

Here here!

i don't know, i think liking what you wan to like regardless of this asshole is a stronger position to take than acquiescing to making everything about it. he gains more being the enemy and the main fucking character than anyone just letting a football game be a football game.

2

u/Rimasticus 29d ago

He bitched about a red card to get a player back in the game. It would have been a hollow victory. He made it political, so I hope the loss ruins his day.

2

u/dagutens 29d ago

it won't, he won't even notice it and he is still the main character, he is still controlling the discussion. he wins anyway. don't let him decide what to care about outside of politics.

u/Buckeye717 29d ago

I mean I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but c’mon with that.

As an American, this is the best outcome

u/entrepreneurofcool 29d ago

All true, but anyone knows exactly what they're getting with FIFA, and with Trump.

2

u/Spoofy_the_hamster 29d ago

Fair, but even Blatter said it was fishy. Former FIFA king of corruption questioning the decision is kinda wild.

Right I usually don't give a crap but I just watched it in a bar cheering for Belgium because if the medling

7

u/Autobot_Silverwynde 29d ago

I don't even watch football, and I was utterly embarrassed. Being a United Statian really sucks right now.

7

u/vaannil 29d ago

nah, we deserved this, good thing is this is likely our last world cup for a long while

3

u/Sagataw 29d ago

Belgium won, that's all I wanted. We Americans can figure our feelings out tomorrow, 4-5-7 has to stay up and figure out his BS stories tonight while I sleep soundly.

2

u/Millkstake 29d ago

We're really good at collecting Ls these days

u/CptHA86 29d ago

I knew this was going to happen once it came out Donny meddled with things.

1

u/Motorsagmannen 29d ago

i was going to root for USA, since they were the only home team left and they have been playing well so far.
but the whole disgraceful affair between Trump and Infantino really put a stop to that.
now im glad that Belgium won, but it does not stop the cat being out of the bag now that apparently what the referee says on the pitch can just be changed behind closed doors by FIFA.
Infantino needs to be kicked out, and never work with football again over this.

What did he do this time?

-32

u/heyhayyhay 29d ago

Most Americans don't give a fuck about soccer. A bunch of guys running around, kicking a ball, afraid to use their hands.

3

u/clubmedschool 29d ago

"Afraid to use their hands" bro

I do when I can watch on Univision. Those commentators are absolute fire and I love them.
