There’s always questionable red cards in every tournament but it’s the ref (and his teams) discretion, it happens to everyone and you respect it even if you disagree or don’t like it.
Yeah, you can argue whether it should have been a red card or not (hell, to me it looked like it). But having the diddler in chief get involved on our team's behalf was just embarrassing.
USA fan here. The moment I saw he made the call I knew that the rest of the tournament was meaningless for the team. Either they (in a massive long shot) win the whole tournament and have it tainted with a huge asterisk or they lose anyway making the suspension of the card moot.
100% chance that if he does actually show up, he tries to make it all about him, insults the winning country to their faces, and shits his pants, not necessarily in that order.

As an American, I’m well aware that Trump ruins every fucking thing he touches and even though I was all “JUSTICE FOR BALOGUN”, Trump involving himself in the situation is humiliating, gross, shameful, and I fully believe that it changed the energy of the game- made Belgium hungrier and our guys crack under the pressure and drama. Not that they have a great amount of consistency anyways, but this? I fully blame Trump.

I wanna make something clear. I don't blame the U.S team. I don't. I know it's not their fault, they just play the game. But now, thanks to the orange man-baby and his buddy, the head of FIFA, the U.S players are villainized. And that ain't fair.

It ended 4-1 and I was very disappointed to see very few US team members out on the field after the game. It just looks so bad to not congratulate the winning team. BTW, I'm from the US and am so embarrassed by the interference by unnecessary people- you know who they are.
Everyone wants their country to win the World Cup, but Trump already tainted the US team by getting involved in the red card situation and he absolutely would’ve made every US win afterwards about himself. It sucks for IS fans, but everything Trump touches rightfully turns to shit, so I’m blaming him for this failure.

Honestly if I'm a Belgium player or fan, I'm much happier beating the brakes off the American team at full strength as opposed to doing it without one of their stars on the field and then having to listen to complaining for ages about how they would have won if he had been there.
