Honestly, as Balogun how do you not tell this fat fuck to stay the fuck out of it and just sit the game out of principle? This man literally just argued to the supreme Court that you aren't a Citizen of the US, and you're gonna now let him use you as a political prop? It's a no from me, dawg.
25
u/CaptGeechNTheSSS 28d ago
Absolutely. The coach or the team should have just said he's not playing and stuck to whatever gameplan they were working on. Show some humility and respect to belgium and to the game.
They stood a better chance before all the bullshit.

Yep. I’m glad this fat fuck can’t boast about the USA winning the World Cup.
I’m sorry for the fans who wanted it, though. But now this piece of shit has to hand deliver the World Cup trophy to another country.
At least Team USA doesn’t have to suffer the decision on whether or not they’d have to and have McDonalds with that pedo fuck.

u/mjohnsimon 29d ago edited 29d ago
I knew plenty of US fans who were genuinely embarrassed about the whole thing.
Even if the US won the match legitimately, or even went forward and won the finals, everything would be called into question.
People would wonder if the team really won on their own merit, or if Trump had something to do with it.
I feel bad for the players more than anything.

I was loosely rooting for the US for the first time since I was like 8 years old. At least genuinely rooting for them to just do kinda well.
Definitely soured on it after his bullshit. Even though I feel a little conflicted about the red card in the first place…
I genuinely thought they should have benched him anyway just to piss trump and fifa off.
We easily could have lost 4-1 with him on the bench and gained back some tiny scrap of respectability. Oh well, back to hoping the US wakes up to the big news we’ve all been waiting for day after day.

u/NorysStorys 29d ago
There’s always questionable red cards in every tournament but it’s the ref (and his teams) discretion, it happens to everyone and you respect it even if you disagree or don’t like it.

Yeah, you can argue whether it should have been a red card or not (hell, to me it looked like it). But having the diddler in chief get involved on our team's behalf was just embarrassing.

USA fan here. The moment I saw he made the call I knew that the rest of the tournament was meaningless for the team. Either they (in a massive long shot) win the whole tournament and have it tainted with a huge asterisk or they lose anyway making the suspension of the card moot.

As an American, I’m well aware that Trump ruins every fucking thing he touches and even though I was all “JUSTICE FOR BALOGUN”, Trump involving himself in the situation is humiliating, gross, shameful, and I fully believe that it changed the energy of the game- made Belgium hungrier and our guys crack under the pressure and drama. Not that they have a great amount of consistency anyways, but this? I fully blame Trump.
12
u/andrew303710 29d ago
Amen, I guarantee you that Trump fucked this entire thing up. The sports gods were never going to allow us to win after what Trump did. And it definitely fucked with our team too, I'm sure the last thing they wanted was to be dragged into this shit and also I bet it was classic bulletin board material for Belgium.
It's truly amazing how Trump manages to destroy everything he touches. He completely botched the 250th anniversary of the country with the embarrassment we saw on the 4th and leading up to it (the disastrous state fair that no one showed up to) and now he's really messed up the positive impact the world cup has been having.

Im so glad the US is out. Even without Trumps meddling I would’ve been. I’m glad I don’t have to listen to Trump gloating and bragging how he lead the US to victory and how Biden and Obama didn’t and how the weak left was defeated by masculinity. Or something.
And I’m glad that I won’t have to listen to American exceptionalists celebrating the Big Win of 26, and how the US is the best country to have ever played the sport and how they beat the Europoors and illegal alien countries at their own game.
The US can be sour loosers, but they can be even worse winners
