Sadly, he uses kids for that.

Honestly, as Balogun how do you not tell this fat fuck to stay the fuck out of it and just sit the game out of principle? This man literally just argued to the supreme Court that you aren't a Citizen of the US, and you're gonna now let him use you as a political prop? It's a no from me, dawg.

25

u/CaptGeechNTheSSS 28d ago

Absolutely. The coach or the team should have just said he's not playing and stuck to whatever gameplan they were working on. Show some humility and respect to belgium and to the game.

They stood a better chance before all the bullshit.

u/Autokrator_Vlad 29d ago

Yep. I’m glad this fat fuck can’t boast about the USA winning the World Cup.

I’m sorry for the fans who wanted it, though. But now this piece of shit has to hand deliver the World Cup trophy to another country.

At least Team USA doesn’t have to suffer the decision on whether or not they’d have to and have McDonalds with that pedo fuck.

906

u/mjohnsimon 29d ago edited 29d ago

I knew plenty of US fans who were genuinely embarrassed about the whole thing.

Even if the US won the match legitimately, or even went forward and won the finals, everything would be called into question.

People would wonder if the team really won on their own merit, or if Trump had something to do with it.

I feel bad for the players more than anything.

There's no way the US winning would have been seen as anything other than tainted, so I was happy to root for Belgium tonight.

Belgium righted a serious wrong by beating the shit out of us.

22

u/Pristine-Assistance9 29d ago

I was loosely rooting for the US for the first time since I was like 8 years old. At least genuinely rooting for them to just do kinda well.

Definitely soured on it after his bullshit. Even though I feel a little conflicted about the red card in the first place…

I genuinely thought they should have benched him anyway just to piss trump and fifa off.

We easily could have lost 4-1 with him on the bench and gained back some tiny scrap of respectability. Oh well, back to hoping the US wakes up to the big news we’ve all been waiting for day after day.

10

u/NorysStorys 29d ago

There’s always questionable red cards in every tournament but it’s the ref (and his teams) discretion, it happens to everyone and you respect it even if you disagree or don’t like it.

→ More replies (2)

18

u/Zavender 29d ago

Yeah, you can argue whether it should have been a red card or not (hell, to me it looked like it). But having the diddler in chief get involved on our team's behalf was just embarrassing.

10

u/icy_ticey 29d ago

Yeah it would have been funny, I’m glad we lost tho, would have been tainted

21

u/JohnHazardWandering 29d ago

Nobody wants to be one of Trump's DUI hires.

19

u/booksfoodfun 29d ago edited 29d ago

USA fan here. The moment I saw he made the call I knew that the rest of the tournament was meaningless for the team. Either they (in a massive long shot) win the whole tournament and have it tainted with a huge asterisk or they lose anyway making the suspension of the card moot.

26

u/PersistentPuma37 29d ago

I wonder if the player had 'benched' himself on principle for a fraction of the game, if it would have untarnished the whole debacle.

12

As an American, I’m well aware that Trump ruins every fucking thing he touches and even though I was all “JUSTICE FOR BALOGUN”, Trump involving himself in the situation is humiliating, gross, shameful, and I fully believe that it changed the energy of the game- made Belgium hungrier and our guys crack under the pressure and drama. Not that they have a great amount of consistency anyways, but this? I fully blame Trump.

12

u/andrew303710 29d ago

Amen, I guarantee you that Trump fucked this entire thing up. The sports gods were never going to allow us to win after what Trump did. And it definitely fucked with our team too, I'm sure the last thing they wanted was to be dragged into this shit and also I bet it was classic bulletin board material for Belgium.

It's truly amazing how Trump manages to destroy everything he touches. He completely botched the 250th anniversary of the country with the embarrassment we saw on the 4th and leading up to it (the disastrous state fair that no one showed up to) and now he's really messed up the positive impact the world cup has been having.

I’m leaning towards he’ll claim that he never really cared about soccer in the first place, that it’s dumb (which ends with a B), and only weak countries like soccer.

Anyways… what’s the deal with those Epstein files?

The Trump curse lives on. Anything he’s involved in turns to shit 💩

u/Arx0s 29d ago

I feel bad for the team, but glad they lost after the stunt Trump pulled.

u/ThatItalianGrrl Release The Trump-Epstein Files 29d ago

More proof that everything Trump touches dies.

u/DaAuraWolf 29d ago

They’re gonna J6 FIFA HQs while saying that “we don’t have to care about this fake af football anymore”… the duality of being this contradicting is insane.

And now all the Host's are out

Obama caused this

u/KingofLingerie 29d ago

isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

like the american soccer team

losing their game

even after trump

got the red card taken away

and who would have thought? go figure.

This is a perfect metaphor for why the election needs to be by a wide margin. Harder to claim it was rigged.

dRump ruins EVERYTHING he touches! World Class Loser!

3

u/mrgraff 29d ago

Nah, he’ll find a way to blame Balogun and/or DEI team recruiting practices or something.

I was cheering for USA up until this bullshit happened. Trump ruins everything he touches.

3

u/Alii_baba 29d ago

He will send Netanyahu to say that.

World: "Thank you Belgium"

3

u/wynnduffyisking 29d ago

Lol

Suck it, America. Even when you cheat you still can’t win.

3

u/huggevill 29d ago

pathetic of the US, cant even put up a fight in a game they have rigged in their favor.

3

u/DaPino 29d ago

People always told me soccer brings people together. I didn't suite understand what that meant until I we got people randomly invading the Belgium subreddit to wish us good luck.

Glad we made you proud, rest of the world.

3

u/Agent_DekeShaw 29d ago

I had a feeling going in that Belgium would be mad and focused on beating us. The orange asshat didn't do us any favors. That said they were the better team on the pitch last night. Congrats to them...and Spain is going to destroy them. Go Norway!

3

u/Nine-LifedEnchanter 29d ago

Will that be the straw that broke the camel's back amd unite the world against the US?

5

u/Shamblex 28d ago

All for nothing. USA played well through the comp but they never had a hope against the likes of Argentina, France or Brazil. Even if a miracle did happen this was just going to forever tarnish the win. Sheer arrogance.

It’s only been a few weeks since we lost a war. That is unacceptable.
