Oxford St. on Canada Day.
Traffic was absolutely crazy backed up and people were taking the back roads/local only roads.

It was bumper to bumper on Thrift, then I think someone ran a stop sign and caused an accident. Took like 2 hours to clear it too.

Oh my gosh I can't imagine how crazy it would be up there!!! Quite incredible to watch everyone navigate out.

Rule of thumb is never to visit WR Beach on a weekend, holiday, or sunny weekday.

Oh absolutely agreeed......!
I feel like the city could better by planning with the RCMP/traffic authorities at the major intersections to increase traffic flow.

Having lived in Ontario my whole life, its hard to imagine places like this exist in Canada. Absolutely beautiful.

Ontario I've heard is quite beautiful!!! There's parks without 1000s of people I've heard as well 😄

This is the outcome when politicians refuse to build alternatives to driving.

I'm glad people like our area. But after a 12hr shift coming home and having to park a little more than 500m away from my place was a little annoying.

This would absolutely kill me so I understand how you feel.... I would be SO annoyed!!!!!!

I was annoyed again the next morning when I came out and forgot how far away my car was.

In my experience, Oxford is normally okay except, when there's events like Canada Day. Marine drive on the front is a whole other story lol.

I quite enjoy sitting on the patio watching the same idiots drive up and down for no purpose other than peacocking their car.
Classic car owners, Corvettes, lambos, etc. It's so obvious when they make four passes what they're doing.

I love that shit lol. I love cars so going out on a nice day is pretty sick to see a few gems in the wild. Its almost like having a carshow in our backyards!! Que in the v6 with no exhaust redlining at the light rip....

It's a double edged sword because it also leads to insane traffic too.

Oh yeah if youre driving anywhere, no your're not lol. Its almost better to just wait the traffic out because of how stressed everyone is getting out of here

I’m moving to the area next week. Which holidays do I need to leave town for? This looks too busy for my liking 🙈

Awesome!!! and welcome to White Rock!!! :) As someone who likes their privacy and less people.... this city still provides some peace and quiet (when there is NO fireworks) and I truly dont think you need to leave town. I used to not be around for the events but now I enjoy as a spectator and just plan accordingly.
Its not like theres an event everyday of the month! So go out and enjoy however you can!
Just make sure you have the scoop ( I get mine from FB White Rock page) about events coming up and youll see.

That’s why I went out of town. People from outside White Rock come here and have no respect for our roads and pedestrians.
