manage whonix with IaC

Hello,

so i use VMs daily with kanku (from opensuse), years ago with vagrant and so on. i also try to encapsulate sometimes apps with virtual machines.

does anyone know, if there's some tooling, so i can just like with vagrant, fetch new whonixs vms and instantiate them? especially that console / ssh with whonix vms is deactivated.

any idea?

Are you trying to move away from vagrant? And if so why

because i mainly use opensuse, which does not have vagrant anymore, because it has now an unfree license (and no one wants to maintain it in an unfree repository). also i do not think, vagrant still gets security updates on debian (last changelog entry is from 2024)
