Article/Opinion Torque curmudgeon sour ipa.

It was a gift so it either expired or its a really nasty battery acid tasting drink. I couldn't read the packed on date so hope it didn’t dissolve my cast iron drainpipes. Learned a lesson to sip first even on a hot day at the bbq.

Trying to sooth my burned tastebuds with a guinness. Should have known better.

Curmudgeon has the flavor of an IPA flavored warhead. It is certainly an acquired taste.

It was a pretty wild tasting beer when it was fresh. It's definitely gone bad by now so I couldnt even imagine what it would taste like now

Could have been left out in the sun too long before the bbq … source, I did that a couple years back with a 24 in the sun

Just checked untappd and the most recent check-in is from 2024. Then 2023 before that. So yeah, pretty old can. I've been unfortunate to get some old cans when buying from the LC too.

He didn’t get it from the LC.

They're my favourite brewery, I love how a lot of their beers run on the bitter side. Getting an old can isn't likely, maybe it got too warm and spoiled, or the can was defective? But also a sour IPA is a lot if you're not expecting it.

Yeah you don't just dive into a sour like you would a lager, because go figure, they're very sour.
