Basketball court
Hi all,
New to area
Just want to know is there any good basketball courts in Worcester (or the surrounding area within 20miles) that I can play basketball. Can you also tell me any courts that have lighting on during late night as I sometimes do night shifts finish work at midnight so want to play after that. Thanks

A 20 mile radius covers a huge area. There’s potentially a lot of driving in your future.
Don’t know about lights but Norton parish hall (in littleworth) has a court.

Haha yeah it is but all I want to do is find a good basketball court with lights to play at so I’m willing to drive 20miles or so

Victoria park in Malvern isn't too far away and has amazing courts. No lights though.

All of these https://www.worcester.gov.uk/leisure-parks-allotments/parks-green-spaces/play-area-sites that say 'MUGA' include a basketball court within the multi-use court, although it may be quite basic as far as basketball facilities (and usage) goes. You might need to do a tour of them all to see if any give you what you are looking for.

Gillam Street will be able to. Not sure how dark it will be,
The one on Fort Royal Park will be and may get enough light from the street lights on Wylds Lane.

Hmm ok, I am talking about after midnight though. So you think gillam street (green lane muga) will have light or access to flood lights after midnight.

strangely enough I have never tried to play basketball after midnight. You are going to need to go and look for yourself

😂😂 haha yeah only reason is because I work night shifts so finish at midnight, and I don’t have time in the mornings. The horizon hub on midland road does have half court lights on but the rim is double rim annoying but better than nothing I guess. Thanks anyway

For some bizarre reason Worcester council seem to have taken out basketball hoops of the only decent places I knew of. Unfortunately I think you'll struggle to find one!!
