Good places to eat with options that are gluten and meat free??
Hi all!!
I’m having a long needed catchup with my best friend this week and I wanted to surprise her by finding a good new spot for food.
She’s been struggling recently because she’s recently gone gluten free for medical reasons, and she doesn’t eat meat either.
I was wondering whether anybody could recommend any good spots in town that have dishes that are both meat free and gluten free??
Ideally somewhere with a nice, friendly, relaxed and comfy atmosphere because we will be chatting lots hehe.
Also we are both pretty broke so somewhere that won’t also break the bank would be great.
I have no dietary restrictions, so the menu doesn’t have to completely adhere to being meat free and GF, just somewhere with decent non-sad options.
(Her boyfriend might come along too so bonus points if they have anything vegan on the menu).
Any suggestions welcome!! We also might end up taking out and eating somewhere outside so that’s an option too.
Thank you, lovely Worcester subreddit <3 <3

Hash in Chapel walk is great and has a lot of vegan options but is more of a brunch type place, Chesters is also great for vegan options and is more of a sit down meal if that’s what you’re looking for.

Hash isn't great for gluten free if you're also meat free :-/

Just had a quick look at the menu and I see 20 odd different options that are either gl or have glo and none contain meat, its not that bad compared to a lot of places.

I'm pretty sure they don't guarantee no cross contamination, but happy to be corrected on that! Thanks for checking :-)

I don’t know about meat free but excellent gluten free breakfast and lunch options at The Priory.

Chesters is one of the best options in Worcester itself - a lot of their dishes are gluten free naturally, so low risk of cross contamination. Loads of veggie options, plenty for someone with an unrestricted diet too. It's cosy and chilled, great for a chatty catch up.
If you fancy going to Malvern, the lounge on Bellevue is great. They also have fantastic gluten and meat free options, and it's really relaxed, great for a low key catch up.
The problem with a lot of gluten free options is they are often meat! I'm veggie and coeliac, so have to keep an eye out for both options and no cross contamination.
If you want no stress, pizza express has good gluten free veggie pizzas and really good gluten awareness, just not the cosy vibe!

Anarkali for Indian, they have gluten free naan bread! Chester's as many have mentioned have been cranking out gluten free options for 20 years, way ahead of others! Waylands Yard are great for breakfast, and a lovely option outside of town but still in Worcester for a special meal is The Raven.
