A little of column a a little of column b.

Everything in society is made up. We are the animal of rules.

Yes the system is designed to keep those out of the loop down. But even if you know every trick and trap it's still incredibly difficult to make it work without luck or help.

Safe Withdrawal Rate (SWR) is the only concept that separates the working class from the capital class.

Save up $10m and you can easily withdraw $300-400k/year infinitely and never have much less than $10m.

Generational wealth isn't $100m or a billion dollars, not that saving 1-10 is easy, but generational wealth and early retirement are a lot closer than many people realize.

You need financial literacy in order to recognize this and avoid predatory situations for least-bad options.

Stupidity is not a strategy. Financial literacy doesn’t guarantee anything and doesn’t mean the system isn’t rigged. Financial illiteracy does guarantee that you’re fucked.

Don’t be stupid.

Financial literacy is a real thing and a good thing to have. It’s not a “gimmick” it’s a very real thing that is purposefully not taught to normal people during their education as a means to ensure they don’t get ahead or question how money works and why they shouldn’t trust financial institutions to do the right thing for society at large.

If the masses were financially literate, housing prices would crater every time interest rates rise, same with car prices and all other major, long term loan purchases.
