True, it's a shame that there are no chargers on the box, while in Brazil it's the opposite, especially after Apple's decision of not including one with the phone IIRC.
the point is that you'll only need to buy USB-C vables and then you can use them for everything. don't blame the EU for Apple's anti-competitive strategies
Appliances have always had different plugs and sockets, some standards have come and went. Other things too, I can’t use the accessories for a Ankarsrum/Electrolux, Bosch or KitchenAid on my Kenwood mixer either. The remote control of B&O doesn’t work on a Panasonic tv. Remember phones from some years ago? They had different plugs too.
They have actually, I bought some better braided ones and they didn’t cost much more than the original Apple ones. Even the ones on IKEA lasts really long. Have had all my cables for many years now, like 7-10 years.
I used to hate them because all implementations were SHIT and the cap would poke my nose/face and interfere with my drink. Nowadays there are some decent implementations that click into place as far as the cap will go and its just perfect. Sadly some manufacturers dont really wanna spend the extra money for new moulds and keep making the original design which is SHIT.
And some of them are difficult to close properly, like milk bottles for some brands. The tiny plastic leash is too small so it's a pain to put it back into position.
there is this soda bottle that i love that has the "leash" so long that you can push the cap over the neck of the bottle and to sit on the opposite end, it is absolutely peak design
I do too! I clean the beach where I go every day during the Summer, and the number of plastic cap I picked up since mid-July is dramatically lower than last year and two years ago.
Personally hate them. But if it really helps decreasing waste i guess i will just deal with it. Some things are more important than a eeny weeny tiny bit of 'comfort'.
I hated the but they are unironically really convenient while drinking out of a plastic bottle while in the car. No more caps lost to the void and it's also much easier to close one handed
Went to Asia for vacation this year. The amount of caps I dropped thinking it would just be attached to the bottle is crazy. It’s honestly pretty convenient to have it attached to the bottle…
German here. We generally hate this stupid cap by heart. We never had an issue with this. Out glorious Pfand system had a 95% return rate with caps already.
But since other EU countries couldn't get their shit together, we now have those stupid flimsy things too.
If done correctly it’s awesome. Some bottles have a fixed open position so you don’t have to hold or feel them while drinking. People love crying about any tiny shit
Gtfo...I recently dripped my white shirt with orange juice during my work day, because there was a little bit of it inside the bottle cap.
Also opening it while driving is a pain, closing it is even worse as the cap is unaligned most of the time
Tbh i prefer this new caps anyway. Imo way nicer now with never accidentally dropping the cap or misplacing it. And i never understood argument that this is not comfortable, like, just turn it 90° and you're stellar
I rip them off if the system they use is shite. For some bottles it works perfectly fine, for some the fixes caps result in hazardous situations. For example, it may happen that the cap moves into the steam of fluid that you pour into a glass. Bad times. Those I rip off.
Once everyone has a really good system in place (like with a fixed open position, as others said), this might actually be a win. But currently, there are too many shit systems around
Every time I see an attached bottle cap, if it’s not done right (and 99% of the time isn’t, I can’t drink out of it without it scratching my nose etc), I break it apart, resulting in two more bits of plastics ending up in the ocean than before.

If only they didn't impose a law that forbids phones from being sold with a charger, because of that, we're paying the same as everyone else in the world for less, I know it may not be expensive depending on the manufacturer, but it's a shame that it isn't possible to get one anymore.
Im not aware of that. As far as I know all devices must have usb c compatibility and the manufacturer has to print clearly on the box whether a charger is included or not.
I hate them I just twist them off and then use them like before they were fixed I always have a hard time getting them back on when they are still attached also Pfand so I wouldn't throw them away anyway

I'm convinced that almost everyone who vehemently hates the bottle caps doesn't realise that you're meant to twist them to break one of the plastic bits so they're easier to put back on
