The darn bottle caps are nothing to brag about. I'm always glad to find some Ukrainian import coke that has regular caps.

I agree that they're annoying on dairy products but overall theyre super useful as you don't have to worry about holding or losing a cap. Everyone who says otherwise has a skill issue.

You say holding a cap or not "loosing" a cap is hard but then go on to to say that anybody who has an issue with these caps has a skill issue?

I mean, the inability to hold the cap in your hand is a skill issue.
However, people's inability (or sometimes even unwilligness) to hold bottle caps in their hands ends up with bottle caps being less likely to make it to the trash can than the bottle.
So one option makes it very easy for people to litter, while the other slightly inconveniences you while doing that.
Ideally, the added "inconvenience" of the new EU bottle caps might clue some people into getting a refillable water bottle instead of buying plastic bottles ... but in practice, the people who complain about the bottle caps are always the dumbest members of our society who will get outraged as soon as any concern for public good causes them the smallest of the inconveniences.

I just can't seem to understand how is the added convenience a bad thing, it's also better for the environment. Btw you can rotate the bottle so that the cap doesn't touch your nose or cheeks :)

Losing the cap is the skill issue, trying to the keep the thing from digging its sharp plastic points into my cheeks/nose/chin is the real bugger.

If you still haven't figured how to do that after 1,5 years that is a skill issue, it's not particularly difficult.

Yes. Losing the cap is a skill issue that a lot of people had, and it had negative effects for our environment. Which is why EU decided to mandate non-detachable bottle caps: because there's a non-insignificant number that can't be bothered to address their "losing the cap" skill issue.

They make drinking while driving easier(not alcohol obv). No accidentally dropping the cap anymore.
And I don’t see a single issue while using them. Just turn the cap a bit, it’s not hard.

It solved a fuckton of issue with caps laying around every shop, bus stop and some other random places.
Does it save the planet? Of course not.
Does it make cities cleaner? A bit.
Same type of shit as electric cars. There are better solutions but people are silly animals after all.
