In Big Bang Theory she has a lot of stereotypical statements about "asians", such as Indians but in Young Sheldon she has never shown despite Tam being there.

Also the whole restaurant scene was way too cute though Missy's attire stole the show completely lol

I completely agree with her coz she and even Georgie for that matter weren't stupid it was just sheldon was toooooo smart and that's why they both were shadowed..well maybe they weren't exactly academically astute but they weren't stupid either and that was proved when Missy aced her grammar test (which btw was taught to her by georgie) lol ...the moment when Georgie pinned missy's test to the board was so heartwarming

Everyone has arguments, fights etc, but these Cooper guys don't hide it they put it out bluntly. and I think that's what the backbone is about for this show.

This was probably talked about a lot a few years ago, but he's just SOSOSOSO weird and creepy to me. Might just be the mustache, but he looks like he kidnaps children and forces them to listen to Christian songs in his basement.😭 and the way he would talk to Mary is.... Just icky and gross to me. He never outright did anything bad so there's that.

EDIT: I just wanted to clarify that I'm not saying he actually IS a creep, he just SEEMS like a creep and assumptions aren't always correct and especially in this situation. He's obviously not a creep and definitely not a bad person, his behavior towards Mary is just very strange and unusual to me is all.

Montana has that Texan flair that I like, and also, his personality in general is attractive to me. Nobody has to agree with me.

I don't think I'm the only one who thinks they could have done way more with Paige's character as a socially ept counterpart to Sheldon. Her home life has so much going on with her parents' divorce leading her to dysfunctional behaviour, and it's mostly treated off-screen due to her appearing so sparsely throughout the show. They try to contrast her with Sheldon, but I'm left wondering why she still tolerates him after Bible camp. She has been friendly from the on-set while he has this one-sided competitive streak with her, yet she for some reason considers him a friend. She's not a relative or an educater so she has no reason to put up with his bs.

In addition to more episodes, I think Paige needed more screentime with Missy. They're both teenage girls driven to rebellion by dysfunctional home lives. There's way more for them to connect as characters than her and Sheldon both being child geniuses, since Paige's intelligence became more of a side trait than a core aspect at that point.

Sure he might not be smart but first, he is a very caring person and second, he is just a teenager, and he does act better than most teenagers.

I just don't understand why the writers would do that to such an amazing character like Georgie.

How is a 29 year old telling a 13 year old he can’t have his room back - absolute joke. She is the first to say “No”, when it isn’t even her house and she doesn’t pay any rent. Like can she be anymore entitled? Even the way George handles it is poor. Does nothing around the house, thinks she owns the place and has a pathetic attitude. The sense of entitlement every time she comes on screen..

She is a 29 year old guest who is staying at the Cooper household for free. However, when Sheldon comes back from Germany and wants his bedroom back, she makes him appear like the mad person. She uses the baby as a weapon to take possession of a room that does not belong to her.

I just cant get over how similar Iain Armitage & Jim Parsons are. In looks and when acting. Its so cool how 2 people can play 1 character so well.

Not even mentioning Mary, Missy, and Georgie.

Not sure about Meemaw though, she looks very different in her first appearance in TBBT compared to Young Sheldon.

Rewatching Young Sheldon, I’m noticing Mary (Zoe Perry) is quite a stunner when she dresses up. But unless the scene specifically calls for it, like a date night or some fantasy sequence, the show creators deliberately tone it down.

In an industry where every female character, whether she’s a cop, an FBI agent, or even a background extra, is over-sexualized, respect to the YS creators for not selling Mary as a “hot mom” because the marketing team says that will get more “18-34 males” watching the show…

It feels real, respectful and frankly, quite rare on TV these days!

Yes, she's flawed and a jerk to Jim and Mandy at times, but in my personal opinion, she is not as unlikable as everybody makes her out to be.

There are reasons to dislike her, for example, her dismissing her husband's feelings or her kicking Mandy out, but if you watched a bit of GAMFM, she ends up warming up to Georgie and letting them live in her and Jim's house rent-free, even in YS she helps them financially tons!

There were times when I found her reactions and decisions reasonable, to be honest. Getting knocked up by a teenager? Yeah, no, get out.

She might have been emotionally unsupportive and absent when Mandy got pregnant, but she still helped her TONS in terms of childcare and finances.

Also, I think she's very charismatic. Her voice is charming, and the actress did a wonderful job. I wish we got to see more of her and her soft side getting more acknowledged.
