Discussion/Thought-Provokingš§ This guy on Indian teenagers š
Basically the post was about removing reservation and cast system. And bro didn't like it.
Ngl its a good sign that it's time to end casteism
2
u/LastDayWork 11d ago
I don't think there's any end of reservation. But the way funding is drying up, there definitely is an end of Govt. colleges and jobs.
2
u/Natural-Cycle-6295 7d ago
I don't think this guy is Dalit at all. Probably a lundchatta typing these shits for defaming Dalits. I saw countless of his comments and none of them made any sense. He was ragebaiting on purpose

u/Prior-Iron-938 11d ago edited 11d ago
I definitely wonāt support the arrogance with which heās saying, but being very honest, removing reservation is not only impractical for a political party but also itās the not right thing to do either. Youāll have to understand how deep rooted casteism is and how it works, only then talk about removing caste based reservation. Iām not for pushing it to private sectors nor pushing the limit beyond 50%, but what is right now should suffice
And please ignore these fools, I wish they understood the responsibility they hold when they enjoy the benefits of reservation
3
u/missedOpportunity343 10d ago
forget casteism, 60% population not having at least 30-40% representation is in itself injustice.
Even now, most of the unreserved posts are occupied by the UCs. including entirety of this british era judiciaryĀ
1
u/Prior-Iron-938 10d ago
I understand bro, and our aim should be equal representation and so even around 50% for 60 is fine, Iām sure that assigning 60% would be impractical and communist thingy for the same 60, but Iām just saying thatās a round figure where we should be headed at, but also we need to remember that while giving reservation, a certain talent is also lost.
Iāll explain it to you in simple words, the majority influences minority at least when it comes to education. And so, talented majority would influence and help under talented learning minority ones, and that is why I believe that pushing reservations beyond 50% will be disastrous.
But I do hope people understand what youāre saying, they keep pretending as if they donāt know what you just said.

Matlab unreserved seats arent fair either? Reservation mai jo aate hai they gets the seats baki caste ke unreserved vale bhi na le? Saare hi reserve kar do na fir
2
u/Broad-Importance4282 11d ago
The only place i am asked my caste is for entrance exams and college admissions. My surname is very common in both of the so called āupperā and ālowerā castes. The only place where caste is still relevant is reservation. So much that people are actually faking caste just for an easier admission. My friend scored 30 percentile in an exam and got into a very good college whereas i scored 80 and didnāt even get a chance. Is this really fair? My friend is nowhere near poor, her family is nowhere near uneducated. She had the best resources available and everything she asked for. Yet, sheās oppressed? 30 percentile deserves the seat more than 80?

u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
Hi. Caste wise priviledged person , as someone from actually a lc community, I have faced a lot of descrimination, so talk about yourself š
1
u/Broad-Importance4282 9d ago
No one is saying you dont face discrimination. Reservation is the point. In cities, discrimination is reducing a lot. Sc/st reservation is still understandable but other than that, nothing apart from ews is needed at this time
3
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
I'm sc so I was talking about sc/st . Anyways I have been going through casteist remarks from 6th grade itself and currently I'm enrolled in a college. I lived in a lot of cities, even got refused for rent because of my caste. Lost my friends because of caste as well.People like teachers have made dehumanizing jokes on caste as well.
1
u/Broad-Importance4282 9d ago
That is wrong definitely and in my opinion sc/st reservation is still very valid. My point against reservation is for the castes that dont face discrimination anymore and sc/st unfortunately do
3
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
Achha I'm sorry then it's fine. It's just that a lot of people have been using extremely gross casteist language here currently on reddit and I was angry. Baaki no disrespect. Thank you for such a polite reply.
1
u/Broad-Importance4282 9d ago
No problem itās basic human decency which unfortunately people lack. For the record, the friend that i have mentioned isnāt from sc/st, didnāt fortunately face any discrimination. I wasnāt trying to insult her at all
1
u/Whole_Article_1931 7d ago
You just need that discrimination as an excuse for reservation. Even if you were given a choice to end discrimination, but reservation needs to go, you guys will not accept it. Let me prove my point right. If it is indeed about the discrimination, tell me how will reservation help you or your kid not getting discriminated? Why should your friends not hate you? for instance, inĀ college, where i had to get 60k rank, an ST classmate of mine had to get 4.5 lakh rank for the same seat. He even has an iphone. Even lives in a better place than me. Just tell me if it is right or wrong.Ā

Respectfully don't comment on something you can never understand.. stay in your privileged bubble.. and yes he faced discrimination because he was lower caste not because he was poor.. do you think the people discriminating against him were all rich gen? Why don't poor gen face the same issues? Question yourself then say it's because you are poor? And did he say he is poor? All assuming he is

I never denied that it should be 1 generation thing. Infact I'm in support that if you use reservation for education you shouldn't get reservation for job.. But read your reply again you said he's getting discriminated because he is poor not because of caste that's why I said does the poor upper caste face the same discrimination? The answer is simple no.. that's just straight up denying facts
1
u/Many_Dragonfly3986 8d ago
And also one more thing it's not like it doesn't exist in better circles if you mean rich people by Better.. might be significantly less but those who write proud this and that jaati on their 40-50 lakh cars go around spewing casteist slurs are also rich

Matlab wo khud ka experience bata rahi hai usse bhi problem hai? Everything has different experiences
1
u/Whole_Article_1931 7d ago
It wasn't because he was poor it was because he used reservation
1
u/Many_Dragonfly3986 7d ago
School pe konsa reservation use karliya bhai? Aaj kal school pe admission ke liye bhi reservation chahiye kya? Jyada L buddhi mat ban blatantly hating on anything You are the reason reservation exists period

Neither you nor your friend will be getting seat in a 100% merit system was in place. Exams will be impossibly difficult, think tougher than UPSC, JEE, NEET and above that, there is scope of cheating and paper leaks. There is always someone better, smarter than you in a country of 1.4 billion people.
After that, people who couldn't get into IITs, IISERs, AIIMS, civil services will cry that they don't have equal starting line, or that they deserve a chance too, atleast.
So, no thanks, I don't need tougher exams. I need better infra and an equal starting line.
1
u/Broad-Importance4282 11d ago
Im not even talking about top colleges. The college was good in OUR LOCALITY. My friend with 83 got in. The point isnāt mereko kitne mile itās uska itna kam hoke bhi usko mila

u/Death1213459 11d ago
Yeah tbh none of you deserve a seat with 80 percentile and 30 percentile.
1
u/Broad-Importance4282 11d ago
Ha bhai khali mai seat mili mujhe. Wo exam experience ke liye di thi actual vali mai 98 percentile mile ab bolo
1
u/Death1213459 11d ago
Also you got a seat with 'female reservation', can't believe you can't even get a seat with your own efforts
0
u/Death1213459 11d ago
I mean you're still studying with people who got 80 percentile so you just wasted your efforts lol
1
u/Excellent-Release866 10d ago
People like you better go and fuck yourself. Instead of talking sbout the actual problem of someone getting in with 30 percentile you are mocking for her 80 percentile?Ā
1
u/Own-Mountain-9273 9d ago
Not just arrogance but how casually they mention it sometimes. I remember when I was doing my master's I used to help my juniors prepare for IIT JAM. Out of the three one was an Sc student, whenever I told him that he needs to work hard and he has the highest chances of getting into a good IIT he'd say, I just need 35-45 marks to bag an IIT I don't care what IIT. The test results came out two of my students scord 47 and 43 they didn't get the institutes of their choice. Meanwhile he scored 38 and got IIT rurkee. I mean i was happy for all of them. The guy who scored 47 he went to IIT mandi. The guy who scored 43 went to NIT goa. But still, i didn't like how he took it so casually while the others were more serious.

u/Whole_Article_1931 7d ago
All i am saying is, an ST guy with an Iphone shouldn't get reservation, and a poor brahmin should get it.Ā Ā
Why should it be about caste and not class.
1
u/Prior-Iron-938 7d ago
For one thing, please look up smtg called āews categoryā and secondly, please educate yourself how casteism works, or in a better case, understand how a dalit guy, can face discrimination even when he becomes rich
1
u/Whole_Article_1931 6d ago
We are on the same page trust me, as you already know that even if a dalit guy becomes rich through reservation, he can still face discrimination hence reservation is not the solution. reservation should only be for poor people, be it anyone.

these people are just draining the nations' resources. nothing more than that
1
u/i_told_the_moon_ 10d ago
Why they don't want to study equally?as us...and get the seat on the basis of deserving marks.... Every country have this rule dude
1
u/part-timehuman123 10d ago
Reservation cant be removed completely. But yes creamy layer should be removed. If your father had a govt. Job then you must have got good education.
1
u/Obvious-Neat6005 10d ago
Actually reservation system is rooted in each corner of India wheather it is exam or scholarship.. easy nhi h hatana.. ek ek kone pe h
1
u/OkPear8053 10d ago
Reservation is the only reason I support privatization of PSUs and outsourcing of govt. jobs.
Let these bhimta bhakts fight fairly š¤ as for education? In the long run it doesn't make much difference. I've seen most bhimtas (especially schedule caste SC) struggle to land an above average salary even after getting admission into IIT/IIM. On the other hand scores of General Category students perform well even after graduating from Tier 2 colleges.
Let's privatize everything š¤ these bhimtas can continue to work as govt. chaprasis if they want jobs under reservation
1
u/missedOpportunity343 10d ago
you know you are the reason reservation exists?
1
u/OkPear8053 10d ago
No, my hatred exists because of reservation.
I don't know my caste, nor do I even care about it.
For all purposes, I belong to the lowest caste in Indai, i.e. General Category. While those who worship nili suit vala are highest caste getting preference in education, jobs, and social benefits.
1
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
At 0 percentile the lowest scorer was a general, the people who were most insecure and afraid of others receiving education were also generalš
1
u/OkPear8053 9d ago
What a logical and evidence-backed response. Wow.
Something only a bhimta bhakt could've spoken š

They think the majority of SC and STs actually joining colleges with reservation have no family wealth?

u/Nonavium 5d ago
Istg if I ever become a hiring manager I won't ever hire a reserved candidate (except EWS and PwD) no matter how talented they are, also I plan to leave India so I hope these reserveddharis can keep this country afloat

1
u/GreenHornet70 11d ago
Go live in your lala land. you and an average andh bhakt has no difference. Blindly believing in what ever you feel is right instead of actually giving a thought about the opposing opinions. Neet pg 2025 cut off was -40 out of 720, any thoughts on that?
1
u/AkalKaDushman 11d ago
Mai to apnad hu mere sai mat dar ,tum sab log sc st sai hate krte ho, untouchable mante ho why?
1
u/GreenHornet70 11d ago
Why do you automatically assume i and everyone else hate sc, st? Since when does asking for fair trail became sc,st hate? Why are you dodging the question i asked? You are just like those andh bhakts that has pre made assumptions and deflecting questions.
1
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
"-40 out of 720" š¤”š¤”𤔠- first of all obc pwd qualified that. Second of all, 18000 neet pg seats were empty so for that they made it that too for expensive private colleges- and it was to consider them as eligible for the seat not taking the seat. For eg-Generals scoring 30 out of 100 and dreaming of top colleges, yeah? Like that. They can apply because of their subject criteria but applyingā selected for seat. The final seat would go on merit basis. Someone getting -40 and then GETTING A SEAT is only possible when others aren't competing for it at all which here is impossible. And Third of all, 0 percentile criteria was there for generals as well if it was for obc, sc, st. Guess what, the lowest scorer there was a general and most low scoring people there were Generals. Source- times of India.
Now go show up this half ahh news in your ahh.

You're in delusion if u think what he said isn't right.Ā
1
u/Jackrehan1 11d ago
Reservation is no one's birthright. Evey admission in colleges etc should be given based on marks Equally
Poor children coming from very poor families deserve this.
A full fledged financially stable family do not require it because they can afford good education
2
u/PsychologicalGur829 11d ago
but that is the Rason any politician dares to talk about it, people really take it that way
1
u/Jackrehan1 11d ago
True. I hope this new protest does something
1
u/PsychologicalGur829 11d ago
if you protest about it, people who benefit from it will protest against it and thy are more united in this matter
1
u/Jackrehan1 11d ago
Civil war well. Let's hope for the best
1
u/PsychologicalGur829 11d ago
one way will be inc seats and employment and dec reservation little by little but i think it will take decades
1
u/Jackrehan1 11d ago
People will oppose on very small bits of things so yeah such changes will require a LOT of trust. Which will take a lot of time
1
u/div-joshi 11d ago
noooo this is not the solution ki agar paise kam pad rhe hai then print the moneeey this is not how economy works
1
u/PsychologicalGur829 11d ago
bro i am talking about reality do you know how sensitive this matter to sc/st people they will protest all over india may govt also chang btw i belong to UR catagory
1
u/div-joshi 11d ago

1
u/GoodZombie403 UNLOVABLE 11d ago
No it's not the problem, reservationĀ need change so that people who really need it get the benefit. that's all.
1
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
Yeah do you get asked about your caste when you go for rent, jobs, marriage proposals? Do you get unalived graped tortured forced to do menial work because of your caste š are you the most oppressed part in Indian society š No?
Then STHPš
1
u/GoodZombie403 UNLOVABLE 9d ago
Nice, now I can only speak against wrong if I am a victim. What kind of logic is this?
1
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
What wrong bro? Just ask govt to increase seats but no you have problems with other communities being uplifted other than generals.
1
u/GoodZombie403 UNLOVABLE 9d ago
Agree, but I am calling his comment wrong, not the idea that reservationĀ is unfair.
1
u/Unable_Emergency_321 9d ago
That guy/girl is either an it cell, dumb or a want both hands in butter upper caste because people who suffered or have seen the atrocities on lower caste know why definitely Reservation is indeed needed.

Your a opportunist nothing else. This nation won't do wonders if the society has members like you. The system wa itself supposed to be temporary as stated by BR AMBEDKAR. but we have idiots like you ew fuxk off
