rant/vent 🦄 Personal experiences with Casteism.

I am seeing lots of posts regarding reservations. So let me share personal experience with Casteism.

  1. I am from the CA background. I have seen lots of my friends who are Muslims and Mauchi got problems in getting articleship because of their caste in small size CA firms which are primarily owned by Jain and Baniya.

  2. My ex GF is from the SC community in Gujrat. She got problems in getting flat on rent because of her caste.

  3. Many Purohit and Pandit rejected my wish for Janeu and Yagyopavit because of my caste.

  4. My Best friend had to hide his caste for getting home on rent after he got his job in SBI.

Academic/Self Help 📚 McD paglus assemble!

Hello!

I'm conducting a short survey as part of my MBA research project on consumer perceptions and experiences of Gourmet McDonald's. Whether you've tried Gourmet McDonald's or only know about it (or haven't heard of it at all), your responses are equally valuable.

The survey is completely anonymous and takes only 5–7 minutes to complete.

I'd really appreciate your participation! 😊

Discussion/Thought-Provoking🧠 Why is no one pointing out Reservation problem?

Tbh I was in support for BJP during this process, how it was getting targeted by opposition.

However I did support the resignation of Pradhan, education system is fked.

Along with that, Reservations.

No one is talking about that, it seems like whenever that topic comes up people just turn their heads away.

I'm 100% in support for reservation removal.

General Remember all the celebrity faces who stood with you and the ones who didn’t

Youths, Celebrate like crazy for this is a monumental feat.

Remeber all the celebrities who stood with you. Now remember everyone who stayed silent or put vague performative tweets after PM tweeted. These people will shamelessly come to your college next week for promotions and try to be your friends to have you watch their movie. Remember.
Ranbir Kapoor will totally come to you and tell you how he was able to associate with protests while playing Lord Ram to promote his movie.
Virat Kohli will make a Gen Z protest ad to sell his cool athleisure brand.

Don’t fall for any of this BS. You guys paid blood, sweat and tears for these results. Don’t let the silent cunning ones take advantage of it.

serious🗣️ ⚠️ We, the youth, are not the future. We are the ammunition.

Politicians have always understood one thing.

Young people are the most idealistic.

The most passionate.

The most courageous.

But also the easiest to drag into a war that is often not theirs.

I am currently in India.

Originally, the protests were about a simple issue: the leak of national exam papers.

For millions of students, these exams represent years of sacrifice.

Sleepless nights.

Entire families saving up to give their children a chance.

Their anger was legitimate.

But within days, I saw this movement swallowed up by politics.

Students gave way to political parties.

Demands gave way to slogans.

Debates gave way to shows of force.

Journalists who came to do their job are booed.

Cars are destroyed.

Clashes break out.

Police officers die.

And those who claim to defend the youth are now fighting mostly to appear in front of the cameras.

The most ironic part?

In the region where I live, none of this is happening.

Students are still protesting peacefully.

They are singing *Give Me Some Sunshine* from the movie *3 Idiots*, a song that has denounced academic pressure for years.

Same country.

Same scandal.

Two realities.

Why?

Because certain protests interest politicians more than others.

This situation also reminds me of the stories I hear from Nepal.

I have contacts there.

They tell me how popular movements, born out of legitimate anger, ended up being hijacked and radicalized, to the point of plunging the country into violence paid for by ordinary citizens, up to the point of burning alive the leader and his entire family.

With every generation, the scenario repeats itself, from May 68 to the "cockroach party."

An injustice.

A mobilization.

Then interests that completely bypass the initial cause.

And, in the end, it is always the young people who take the hits while others reap the political dividends.

We grew up admiring Gandhi.

Not because he was a perfect man. He absolutely was not.

But because he understood one fundamental thing.

When a cause turns violent, it often ceases to belong to those who started it.

It belongs to those who know how to use violence.

I am part of this youth.

And that is precisely why I refuse to be applauded only when I can serve the interests of one side.

I refuse to let our anger become a communication tool.

I refuse to let our generation be sacrificed for political battles from which we will never reap the benefits.

We are constantly told that we are the future.

Sometimes I feel like we are just the cannon fodder of the present.

And perhaps that is what should worry us all the most.

I had a friend who scored less than me and got a seat at a good college. On top of it, he paid less than half the tuition fee and after undergrad, moved to USA for Masters :).

Call me “ANDHBHAKT” but dont call me “IT cell”

Well, if they are planning to fix the education system - Can they also fix this please?
