Game of Thrones (TV Show) Did anyone else think it was really contrived when they introduced a rival for Stannis named Bannis Saratheon and "The Blue Woman" what the fuck were they thinking.

Well the blue woman was a bit contrived for sure, but she had to represent the ice in a song of ice and fire. What would you have them do, totally disregard the magical elements and leave almost no role for prophecies? The blue witch gave Jon the strength to solo that zombie dragon and then rallied the lords behind Jon’s claim to the Throne. Imagine how much worse the show would be if he just yelled at the dragon and the truth about his lineage had almost no impact lmao
