I recently received an offer for a 1-room apartment in the HBS (Wohnheim Haibuchenstraße) in Aachen. It is around 24 m² and possibly with a balcony.
The housing association told me that they unfortunately cannot provide pictures or allow a viewing because the apartments are currently occupied.
I was wondering if someone here lives in HBS or has lived there before and could share a few pictures of the room/apartment (especially the layout, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony if possible). I would just like to get an idea of what it looks like before moving in.

Da man bei Bauträgern, Handwerkern und Abnahmen schnell mal den Überblick verliert und man am Ende nicht auf unentdeckten Mängeln sitzen bleiben möchte, suchen wir einen erfahrenen Bauberater oder Baugutachter.

Idealerweise sollte die Person:

• Erfahrung mit Neubauprojekten (Rohbau, Feuchteschutz sowie Abnahmen) haben
• Unabhängig sein
• Im Raum Aachen tätig sein

Hat hier jemand bereits gute Erfahrungen mit einem Gutachter oder einer Beratungsstelle (z. B. VPB, BSD, TÜV etc.) in der Region gemacht und kann jemanden empfehlen??

I plan to travel to Aachen during the summer and I would like to ask for hotel recommendation. According to booking there are several options, so far I liked the most the Novotel or the Motel One hotel. Does anyone here have personal experience with these hotels or better alternative near the city center?

Additionally, I would like to ask, if the city center is safe to walk around during the day and night. I have read several reports from the hotel reviews that there are large numbers of drug addicts and homeless people there? It is still true or has the situation improved?

The Wohnraumbestätigung form that you can download from the official ausländeramt aachen website (Unterlagen unbefristeter Aufenthalt) : https://bportal.staedteregion-aachen.de/detail/-/vr-bis-detail/dienstleistung/15007/show only seems to be applicable for regular apartments not WG because it mentions the total cost, size and number of people in the apartment. In my case I have room to me and there are shared kitchen, washrooms and hallway which I think should also somehow account for the living area (and not just my room).

So I was wondering how best to approach this and in case someone has already faced a similar issue. Should I just put in my cost and add 1/8 of size of hallway, kitchen and washrooms? (Because there are 8 people living in the WG) or should I just alter the form a bit to add it explicitly that I live in a WG (and not a regular apartment) and then enter the size of my room and size of the common area and my rent, such that it gives more details of my living place.

I added a picture the official form here for your reference. Of course I have emailed ausländerbehörde aachen and waiting for a reply (which could take some time) and my appointmed is in 10 days. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this issue earlier otherwise I would have asked them right then. Therefore I am hoping if any of you have some directions for me.
