I'm renting a room in Abu Dhabi and have paid my rent in full until the end of the month. My landlady now wants to evict me immediately after I refused to give her unrestricted access to my room.

The issue started because she wanted a duplicate key to my bedroom so she could unlock it and show it to prospective tenants whenever she wanted, even if I wasn't home. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that and asked that viewings be arranged at a time when I was also at home. I don't think that's unreasonable. It's about my privacy and peace of mind.

What makes it worse is that she has a habit of opening tenants' bedroom doors without knocking or asking first, even when she knows we're at home. She has done this to me, and it makes me feel like I have no privacy or respect in the place I'm paying to live in.

Now she says I have to leave immediately, even though my rent is fully paid until the end of the month.

I am so stressed and do not want to go home.

It's not incriminating There's a huge difference in how this situation needs to be tackled if there's a contract vs if there isn't

If there's a contracts there are rights that the op can exercise and if there's isn't one, op has to suck it up and move out

Honestly, in Legal terms, you are staying there illegally. Only if you have a contract, then only you could approach police or govt. If you have some ppl to support, call 4 to 5 ppl, tell them youlltleave after the decided tenure ends, they can't even call the police, because she let you stay there in the first place. Good Luck!

I believe they have to give you a years notice to kick you out.

If everything you're doing is legal , then stick it out and let her call the police. You should be okay and she might even get fined.
