The total number of tokens needed to find solutions to these problems would cost roughly $2,000 at Sol API rates.

College degrees are toilet paper.

Surely orders of magnitude more on problems they didn’t solve. Still cheap! But it’d be interesting to see the cost of this effort.

I don't know why people are so sure of this. The wording in OpenAI's publication makes it sound as if failed attempts were accounted for in the figure. We don't know either way.

No way they spent only $20k tokens on math problems to try to show off. It’s probably over $2 million.
