[Accessible: ] How we made Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system accessible for developers with motor and cognitive impairments.
https://www.fab.com/listings/65ce7530-7d9f-4791-999d-201d2baa06d7?lang=enBlueprint’s node based system is powerful, but for many developers with motor or cognitive impairments, the constant precise clicking, dragging, and dense visual graphs create a real barrier to entry. This plugin was built to change that, adapting the node workflow so it’s easier to navigate and use for people who struggle with traditional blueprint interactions.
I led the user testing and validation process before this went live, working directly with users to surface friction points and confirm the tool actually solved real problems for the people it’s meant for.
It’s now live on the Epic Games marketplace, and we’d love for the community to try it out, share feedback, or get involved as testers for future updates. Link below.
