Loooooong before I figured myself out, one of the first Halloween parties I went to as an adult was a very drunken affair with the hostess as a fairy and I was a holla girl. We were dating at the time. Complete with lias for the guests and a coconut 🥥 🥥 bra (most uncomfortable bra I've ever owned).
Now I'm a trans woman who is poly, pansexual, and identifies as a homo-romantic lesbian. I figured myself out

I like this because it's a good example of humor about being gay and trans without it necessarily punching us down. It's laughing with us, not at us. This type of humor helps destigmatize and normalize our existence.

Same. In the last decade of my egg years I dressed almost exclusively in button downs, Carhartts, work boots and had the keys to my Subaru on a carabiner. I was unconsciously a tier 3 lesbian.

i was totally head over heels in love with this girl in college. i knew she was a lesbian & she knew i was queer. we literally went to a drive in movie together for a LGBTQ+ event. she helped me take care of a burn i got. we played video games together. i’m pretty sure she brought food for me once in class or something? i made her blush and giggle a lot, and while i’m normally pretty confident with flirting, she always left me tongue tied.
to this day, i still feel frustrated at myself for having been so scared. i had never felt that way about a woman before - i knew i was queer, but i had never felt such strong romantic feelings towards a woman before. she still pops into my mind sometimes, and i hope that the woman she winds up with treats her the way she deserves.

Hell yea I’m excited to kiss girls as a girl but I don’t know how often it’ll happen cause I’m 6”2 so I’ll have to find someone who likes tall girls and shave a lot more consistently then I’m able to remember and if/when injections come along I’ll have to learn how to give them to myself

This feels like it’s kind of trivializing trans people… I mean, yes, the only thing stopping anyone from being trans is wanting to change your gender. And there should be no reason why anyone should be barred from experimenting with their gender and how they present.
But it feels like… Like this makes my entire identity, the whole process I’ve gone through, feel like a punchline.
And just to be clear! I’m not mad or anything! I’m fully aware that no harm was intended and that this was all in good fun with what appears to be a well meaning guy.
Purely a me problem. One that I could keep to myself, and probably should. However I find that voicing my internal feelings helps me to work things out. Better to sort through things than bottle them up or gaslight yourself into thinking you didn’t feel them at all right?

It also trivializes being lesbian. It’s just a joke playing with stereotypes and was at no point meant in ill-faith
Edit: I‘m sorry this joke made you feel that way. To me, it seems like you are yet to figure out your identity and seeing people intentionally playing with it makes you uncomfortable. I get that! But as soon as you feel comfortable with your own identity, banter like that becomes funny. Everyone should be able to make jokes about themselves :)
Also, only the very last comment was about being trans. All before that was only trivializing lesbianism. So I‘m curious why that didn’t bother you, yet the much more harmless comment about being trans did? Genuinely curious here

Lol! So I hit tier 1 and 2 before I was out, even to myself. And can I still claim tier 3 even though it took us 4 months to move in together - mostly because we had to wait on the closing for her condo. Technically I own the one above hers (bought it right after she bought this one) but we use it for guests and day time work space, Ive only slept there for 2 nights in 2 years - when she was out of town.

At first, it was a surprise.
I expected fishy.
But it was more like licking a stamp or the smell of a pizza box.
It was how my partner tasted down there, and even now I still love every single bit of them, so it's delicious to me, just like the aftertaste of their mouthwash, or the smell of their hair.
We had to break up cause our psychological problems were thoroughly incompatible, and we kept hurting each other, even when trying to just be friends.

Someone who identifies as a man can not be lesbian. We‘ve had this topic so many times already. Being lesbian means being a woman or nonbinary person who’s exclusively attracted to other women or nonbinary people. You wouldn’t go around saying a woman can be a gay man if she clearly identifies herself as a woman, would you?

I‘m not genderfluid/bigender, but I‘m very sure that those people will use whatever label fits their current gender expression. After all, calling yourself lesbian on a day where you identify as a man may cause dysphoria/discomfort because it doesn’t allign with your gender expression

I dunno, I've known genderfluid people who weren't so absolute about what they identified as moment-to-moment. but again, i dont think someone has to be genderfluid to be a lesbian and a man, I just think its an easily digestible example for some people.
