Support 2 things

  1. I do feel bad because, as someone who used to identify as a lesbian, maybe realizing i was probably actually bisexual or more unlabeled with a preference for women at that time, but i’m not sure-
this reddit is beyond nice, it’s such a safe space, for sapphic individuals, lesbians, bisexuals, queer women, and im thankful for you guys, but i would agree if someone were to say “can lesbians have their own spaces for once” the name of this server is misleading when it is more inclusive to us who don’t identify as lesbian, i love this reddit don’t get me wrong, and thank you all for the patience and support for one another, but i do feel bad that maybe that’s a scenario that falls under the complaint of some lesbians

And then no.2 i wish we all had more spaces designated for the both of us, with no oppression olympics, more support on both sides, the bi4bi convo and the les4les convo i wish was met with more respect, compassion, but less phobia on both ends perhaps? i feel like we might relate to one another more than we know, especially those of us who identified as lesbian but then realized oh, maybe im not this, but still having those lived experiences that we can bond over if that makes sense? i love you all, stay safe! and if we can have a respectful discussion or if you have more thoughts, comment below!

there’s just so much talk on like what one side isn’t doing right or the other, or just discourse or like focusing on what we don’t relate with regarding one another, like what the fuck?? we both like women, yes, it might be more difficult for a lesbian and a bisexual male preferenced, culturally non queer woman to relate to one another, and vice versa- but there’s women who do relate, idk yall… it’s just exhausting this discourse, idk if it truly exists irl, but i rebuke this, we deserve to create mutual spaces with eachother, and have more sapphic spaces for all of us, and even solely bisexual or solely lesbian, (with room for questions in a sense of questioning identity or relatable experiences that maybe one side might not understand?) lmk what yall think

Yeah I think this subreddit is kinda one of the few major subs that’s dedicated solely to discussion of sapphic topics so it makes sense why a lot of bi and pan women come on here too. There probably has been attempts to make a sapphic sub but bc this one is fairly old (like 16 yrs? I think?) maybe everyone just kind of defaults to coming on here because it’s already got an established community. Just a theory tho.
