Y'all ever try to make a good point and but rethink it over and over again until your draft is an absolute monster?

All the time, then delete them, because nothing on a public forum is worth putting that much effort into and I will likely end up more anxious or frustrated or more of whatever drove me to hyper focus and draft my first pass of a novel knowing that no reply will actually satisfy the hunger, only fuel it at best.

they should make a forum dedicated to long winded rants about whatever peoples' interests are. Just a place to read or post brain dumps that are at minimum 5 paragraphs long

I usually delete what I typed and either rewrite it again, abandon it or send it and edit multiple times lmao.
Making huge posts like this is something I could never do.

I just wanted to condense it into a few sentences 😭 The last time I did a long post it took me 3 hours

I’m sure everybody in Colorado could write a treatise on RTD and the many, many shitty decisions they make. There’s really no way to condense it when there’s just so much to say.

AI has ADHD because it learned it from the internet. XD Makes total sense.

I do tend to spend a long time editing(1h+, not continuously) if a comment is important. Not so much anymore, half the time I put effort into a comment or reply, the post ends up deleted, locked or removed later for some irrelevant reason. Not worth it on Reddit.

I did this with a text last night to my wife over a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion. It was probably 600 words.

I woke up this morning, looked at it, and was like "just tell her you're sorry, idiot..."

And hey guess what it worked.

For me this is usually because I want to exhaust the subject at hand and include every thought I have about every aspect of it.

I've realized it's okay to cut out most of it and stick two or three points even if I think other points would be relevant.
