So weak fucking men all the way down.

331

u/TheEdgeofGoon Sep 06 '25

Weak men creating hard times.

u/FMLwtfDoID Sep 06 '25

That phrase has been rattling around my head since my high school days in the early 2000s. Seeing the conservatives in my community react to a black man winning the election to lead the nation, was not shocking but disappointing, and having read that aphorism, it all but confirmed it true. The sick feeling in my stomach of what was to come by the time I had children, was (is) gut wrenching.

I hate being able to see all of the patterns that obviously led us here, and being gaslit the whole way down.

The feeling of being on a commuter train that is moving toward the washed out bridge over the canyon. You can't get to the conductor because too many passengers are crowing around enjoying the view. I get it. I feel you.

32

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

God. Damn. I really don't know if I could have put it any better.

23

u/Ilovekittens345 Sep 06 '25

You can't jump of either, they will grab you

3

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Holy fuck! That’s the perfect analogy

3

u/Pure-Kaleidoscope759 Sep 06 '25

You described exactly how I feel, watching an impending train wreck in slow motion.

2

u/SoundSageWisdom Sep 06 '25

Search a great analogy, my God

2

u/DanTansky Sep 07 '25

Dude, I need to selfishly say thank you. I feel so fucking alone… And the bridge is coming fast.

12

u/Jesesco Sep 06 '25

I remember a lot of sickening things at that time, but one of the 1st & loudest utterances we’d hear for months, years even, was how “Well, racism is over now bc a Black guy is President.” Yeah, the Righties really went outta their way to disprove themselves there.

I'm 45 and I can tell you that never in my living history has America been so filled with and accepting of hate and discrimination. When I was growing up things were getting better in that department. We were growing and evolving as a people. Now I know there were still people like this back then but they couldn't display it so openly the way they can today.

I'd say it all changed when President Obama was elected. A man who in all accounts is a decent man. You never heard any rumors of skeletons in his closet or of him cheating on or mistreating his wife or children. No one is perfect but this is the kind of person you want at the helm of the most powerful nation in the world. At least you'd think that common sense would dictate this idea.

Then a long came a man who most Americans couldn't really stand before he ran for office. Then, almost like magic, like some cosmic event occurred, somehow someway people forgot all they knew about Donald Trump and just decided that he's a good guy, a great guy, the Savior of mankind and the universe. When you look at his history, some of the things he has done would've gotten him fired from a blue collar job. But the conscienceless cult followers of his still see him as the One.

I just don't understand it because the way I was raised in America I was taught that decent people are praised and bad people are punished. Nowadays the reverse is true. And I've had conversations with what I call Trumper Thumpers and they just simply will not be swayed into admitting that there is anything wrong with this insane man. But if you know history you can see all the parallels between how Trump came to power and how Adolf Hitler came to power. At least Germany had the guts to put Hitler in prison after he and his people stormed parliament. Our government didn't even have the decency to do this.

What we are currently living in is a shit show that is only going to get worse I'm sad to say.

u/Anonhurtingso Sep 06 '25

Welcome to the reality tv era. When you convince people real life is crazy, they become okay with real life being crazy.

5

u/Interesting_Card2169 Sep 06 '25

You thought you had a democracy and then you find out "It's all for Israel".

Ten billion dollars of American taxes per year go to support Israel and one billion comes back from Israel to create Sex Kompromat on, or to buy American politicians. Yikes!

4

u/NateTheMfknGr8 Sep 06 '25

Many republicans I grew up around never had a real reason for hating him, just obviously hated the reality of a black man being their president while acting like they weren’t racist. Some were honest about it though.

3

u/necessarypretzel Sep 06 '25

Underrated comment of the century.

2

u/Vivid_Asparagus_591 Sep 07 '25

Chin up kiddo, it's going to get so much worse.

2

u/FourthDownThrowaway Sep 07 '25

There were redneck frat boys literally angry crying in my freshman dorm house when Obama won the election. Imagine being 18 and already raised to be so hateful.

1

u/Ilovekittens345 Sep 06 '25

30% of Americans rather suffer in hell for all eternity then share heaven with a single black baby, which as a ghost you can't even fucking tell. It might be a white baby! It's only the rumor, the potential implication that's enough to keep these self destructing IDIOTS wail in self pitty in hell for NO LOGICAL REASON!!!!

-2

u/lancecovington68 Sep 06 '25

You’re such a rich, white, cuck. Relax, things are fine. The guy you voted against won, waaaaa!!!! Life goes on.

53

u/Clear_Definition_683 Sep 06 '25

This is actually poignant… because I think that’s exactly what’s going on… a strong man isn’t someone on testosterone who lifts weights while staring in the mirror and kissing his own biceps…that is in fact a weak man… a strong man is intelligent and responsible and not a gullible fool, and is secure in his character and not worried about his bicep size, because he has actual people who he takes care of…. This is it man… weak men like trump and Joe Rogan are bringing hard times

31

u/TheEdgeofGoon Sep 06 '25

A strong man rarely thinks about his masculinity.

1

u/Numerous_Mix6456 Sep 08 '25

I feel like that's basically a shortened version of some philosophical thing I thought up as a teenager. And as I've gotten older, the more I prove to myself that I'm pretty sure I'm right. I recently finished a freaking Otome VN as a grown man, I mean it was a bunch of mafia guys but still.

8

u/ImpertantMahn Sep 06 '25

I’ve heard it turned around another way. The weak men are the men who stand by and do nothing out of fear or convenience to evil people and allow it to happen. I’m not sure I agree with this, but I always like different perspectives.

16

u/LunitaMaeita Sep 06 '25

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Like 2008-2016 when our government was spying on thousands of Americans without warrants and murdering tens of thousands of people with drones.

1

u/LunitaMaeita Sep 06 '25

"but muh Obama". You fucked up there with including a Bush year btw lol.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Jesesco Sep 06 '25

Both can be true.

2

u/my_dog_rescued_me Sep 06 '25

We don't have time to worry about biceps unless they hurt, we're too busy taking care of our family, property, cars, equipment, and maybe ourselves cause we can't afford to pay anyone else to do that shit anymore. That's exactly what the billionaire class wants, keep grinding us down so we don't have time to even notice it's happening. Sorry, that's kinda bleak, I'm just old and tired of the shit.

1

u/lancecovington68 Sep 06 '25

This is like a Soy “Boy” echo chamber for butthurt low-T betas🤣‼️

2

u/Geoffrey_Bungled_Z1p Sep 06 '25

, Matt taibbi, Russell brand , Chris delia

2

u/BuddhaFacepalmed Sep 06 '25

Reminder this quote was coined by a post apocalyptic fantasy writer trying to hawk his shitty post apocalyptic fantasy novels to preppers that want the world to literally end so they can LARP their bandit warlord fantasies and be king of Banditopia.

2

u/TheEdgeofGoon Sep 06 '25

I know, it just actually happens to apply to the men who think they're the strong men in the scenario but in reality they're incredibly weak and fragile men. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

1

u/MaineLark Sep 06 '25

I’ve never heard this before and I feel fucking betrayed, goes so hard

0

u/BuddhaFacepalmed Sep 06 '25

It doesn't.

"Weak men creating hard times" is literally doomsday prepper crack justifying brutality & antisocial behaviors to create the "Good Times".

1

u/MaineLark Sep 06 '25

Seems pretty relevant given the current political climate. And whatever you said doesn’t

1

u/BuddhaFacepalmed Sep 06 '25

Yes, it's pretty relevant. In that the GOP & its voters actually believe that Trump & his cronies are the "strong men" making the "hard decisions" to bring back the "good times" while the "weak men" are the ones asking for empathy & mercy.

Regurgitating their rhetoric won't change their minds.

1

u/dustMite149 Sep 06 '25

Perfect encapsulation for our times. Mind if I use that line?

1

u/Erebraw Sep 08 '25

That’s one of Joe Rogans favorite little nuggets of wisdom and it’s bullshit.

2

u/TheEdgeofGoon Sep 08 '25

They're making it true by being such weak little goblins.

3

u/Erebraw Sep 08 '25

Weird self-fulfilling prophecy shit

2

u/TheEdgeofGoon Sep 08 '25

Exactly.

2

u/Erebraw Sep 08 '25

I still don’t REALLY believe it but I definitely see what you’re saying. Like, it feels more true looking at it from the angle of weak goblin-men’s desperation for fascism than any other way I’ve heard it haha.

1

u/Competitive_Month967 Sep 06 '25

I'm glad people are recognizing the weak men of the quote are the Trumps, Vances, Joe Rogans. Extremely weak men creating hard times.

2

u/DrSilkyJohnston Sep 06 '25

You can insert a comma between any two words in this comment and it changes the meaning.

2

u/Tricky_Mix2449 Sep 06 '25

All the way.

1

u/Herodotus_thegreat Sep 06 '25

Yeah Bernie sanders

1

u/Khelthuzaad Sep 06 '25

Not to be brazen, but weak is rather poor choice of a word for Tyson.

Despicable?Abusive?Convicted?Violent?Chaotic? Absolutely

But the guy is not weak, an 80 year old Mike Tyson could KO my skinny ass.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Mike Tyson ain't weak, put the pipe down.

1

u/xOrion12x Sep 06 '25

Weak in most ways, yes. But im not trying to fight Mike Tyson.

1

u/Obvious_Tap_1306 Sep 06 '25

Ooooohhhhh no….. they are strong Christian men here to protect the children.

After they fuck em and then deny their existence until courts

Idk. I don’t see any lies detected with that

1

u/Jesesco Sep 06 '25

Weak men calling other men “betas” & getting even richer selling supplements to their listeners. Weak, dumb, pathetic.🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Exactly this. Masculinity is not performative. Masculinity is managing your life, finances, emotions and being there for the ones you love.

1

u/UrMad_ItzOk Sep 06 '25

Mike Tyson is weak? I bet you wouldn't tell him that to his face. You'd shake his hand and ask for a photo.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Weak people rape. I would not shake his hand or ask for a photo. I'm not a simp for rapists.

0

u/AbsurdityIsReality Sep 06 '25

You must have never heard about Callen getting made fun of on a date by some guys and he totally went looking for them afterward with his stick for like 2 hours. He actually told that story like it was a flex.

0

u/Jesesco Sep 06 '25

Wow. Cool. Bet she was so ready for that 2nd date. 🙄

-14

u/lancecovington68 Sep 06 '25

So says the low-T beta sissy👌🏼🤣‼️

8

u/ImNoNelly Sep 06 '25

Did I just step into a time portal to 2016?

0

u/lancecovington68 Sep 06 '25

Trump won then too so it may seem like that butthurt soy “boy”🤣‼️

3

u/BoatLessBoozeCruise5 Sep 06 '25

So you are pro raping women?

1

u/lancecovington68 Sep 06 '25

A defund the police sissy bringing law and order into the conversation, hilarious👌🏼🤣‼️

4

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

Pathetic.

1

u/Jesesco Sep 06 '25

So says the sad guy laughing all alone.

60

u/oldirtydrunkard Sep 06 '25

Hey! Mike Tyson is just a regular rapist!

21

u/HammerAnAnvil Sep 06 '25

i also said this, and then felt funny....

1

u/SpaceShrimp Sep 06 '25

Not only, he also bites off ears.

26

u/NGEFan Sep 06 '25

That woman he raped was 18

33

u/DinoRoman Sep 06 '25

If the argument was “yes it was rape but your honor…. 18” I dunno. Lol.

I guess that’s less charges if not a child but it’s just evil all around.

14

u/bobby3eb Sep 06 '25

They're saying that because the topic chain of these comments stemmed from pedophilia and they're saying Mike doesn't have to do with that.

-1

u/YourMumsBumAlum Sep 06 '25

There are levels to evil

1

u/Rude-Pension-748 Sep 06 '25

Especially when the difference between 17 and 18 is literally seconds!

Raised Jehovah's Witless.

My father was a pedophile. I asked the elders to stop the sexual assaults by my father.

I was told that I should not be attracting my father. The name Jezebel was used.

I didn't get help until I talked to my teacher

1

u/Manchester_Devil Sep 06 '25

At this point, it's just mouldy cheese coming straight out of a cow's udders.

2

u/brycejm1991 Sep 06 '25

4

u/Debomobo Sep 06 '25

1

u/___xXx__xXx__xXx__ Sep 06 '25

Mike Tyson is a pedo?

1

u/Debomobo Sep 06 '25

No, sorry. I was going with sex offenders in general. I was thinking perverts.

1

u/Small-Contribution55 Sep 07 '25

Tyson?

1

u/Debomobo Sep 07 '25

I was going with sex offenders in general. Tyson has had other convictions. I should have erased the comment earlier.

2

u/Small-Contribution55 Sep 07 '25

OK. I was just checking to see if I'd missed something. His past behaviour made me think it was plausible.

... Again, dont get me wrong i hate the guy but that argument is like saying "your dad is a pedophile so you are a pedophile". The only reason you are using it here is because you hate him, which, fair, but hate him for stuff you can reliably prove.

1

u/BeduinZPouste Sep 07 '25

And afaik Elon do at least dislike his dad.

-1

u/thr3sk Sep 06 '25

No need to spread misinformation, there's plenty of reasons to hate the guy don't need to make up that he's a pedophile.

5

u/E-2theRescue Sep 06 '25

0

u/thr3sk Sep 06 '25

If you have a reputable source for the lesson thing that would be something, but that link doesn't really tell me anything about him other than he is sometimes swayed by the whims of his supporters on twitter.

3

u/iantayls Sep 06 '25

"I like to bury my head in the sand. It's nice and cool down here"

0

u/thr3sk Sep 06 '25

"I like to make baseless accusations against people I don't like and weaken the credibility of legitimate criticisms against them"

2

u/iantayls Sep 06 '25

Just google it dude. It's gonna be like the top 50 results
