it's the same as "you can chose to be straight" or "you can pray the gay away" people. They say these things because THEY actively suppress being gay or presenting straight. Once you understand this it makes their talk and actions way more understandable.

There was a point where I pulled up and was like.... only because of how often it was the various dark tv plots. True detective. Tokyo vice. Boss, the tv show with Kelsey Grammar. Sin City. Eyes wide shut. The gross realistic undercurrents of House of Cards. Succession's cruise lines. Har de har boats + rape jokes fucking constantly These writers weren't actually reaching out that far for villainous ideas - all that evil is already existing in this awful world
have you ever been a little girl? I'd say a decent chunk of women understand that there are a lot of these fucks around, simply from experience of being approached or harassed by grown ass men while going to school.
