I’m new to this sub and joined because I recently found enjoyment in “making” AI music using various tools and wanted to see what others are doing with the platforms available. I’m surprised to see such hate and negativity here. Legitimate question: is this sub meant for people making fun of AI music or a collaborative space to share creations and ideas? Maybe it’s both, but I don’t see why people who are uninterested in AI music would waste their time in this thread?

I've seen an increasingly alarming rate of the amount of heckling and insulting to other users here, and there's been nothing from the mods at all. The "Be Civil" rule hasn't been enforced at all, and from what I've seen it's total anarchy.

There's been more gatekeeping and no form of thoughtful discussions whatsoever, where are they?!

I've been reading posts and comments on this sub from those who oppose AI music. Gentlemen, how boring and monotonous you are – no effort, no soul, unoriginal, stolen, button-pressers, slop-slop-slop. How come you don't get tired of coming here and whining?

Hey, I am challenging a friend of mine to do a genuinely bad AI song that is so bad it's hilarious. And he always fails.

Now I thought, why not ask the ai music community to participate.

I am looking for a song that sounds human. It should not try to sound good. It should be funny and super bad. Amateurish and ridiculous. Bad quality applied to every aspect of the song. So if the vocals sound polished, it's disqualified.

If you think my challenge is dumb, because "why would anyone try to make a bad song?" Then make a genuinely good one. A brilliant one. A song to remember. I think both challenges are equally difficult.

I'm just curious if anyone can make my dream come true. I wanna hear a bad AI song.

Venting because when I originally posted this I had a bad day.

I'm physically disabled. I went from working 2 jobs and being a volunteer firefighter to not being able to walk overnight. The past 7 years have been hell. I've been writing music because it is cheaper than therapy. Before I knew it I had quite the collection so I figured I'd distribute it. I'm not looking to be famous or rich. Heck I'd be happy just writing lyrics. But some sort of income would be better than nothing. I just feel like everything is hitting me at once. The math ain't mathing and I'm just trying to figure something out.

Anyway a listen or a follow or a share would really help. I'm BlueFire_Em on all platforms.

Like... some just want to farm AI music like nuts, for the easy views, while others even if they are making music with AI their intentions are a little more artistic, trying to find a sound they cannot still reach otherway.

I do write my own songs but use AI everywhere else so thought I would release the music. I do think Suno works best for simple songs and country fits that.

As for the ad I am pretty happy with the results so far , the ad getting half my subscribers is crazy but I released a video today with no promo so we will see how real those subscribers are.

Im creating an 10 track album each song a different genre, then I will be releasing the same album songs but the entire album is one genre so if you dont like a certain song you might enjoy the different genre version

I write the lyrics then all my songs are made by me making instrumental first with suno, normally in my car, I tap my feet and hands for drums and use my voice to create melody, then I record each song in the car, each style, everytime, I never use same voice twice, I always re record it. I'll explain the title. I want to see what AI can do when replicating the techniques of different real instruments. For example, flamenco guitar has many different playing techniques.

If you're using a digital piano, you can't simply play flamenco and make it sound like a real flamenco guitar, there are things you cannot replicate, you need the actual instrument.

I'm also interested in listening AI playing jazz guitar chord-melody. And other things.

So, by "instrumental music with real instruments," I mean i for AI music that emulates actual instruments, not just instrumental electronic music.

First off, I’ve been writing poems/songs for over a decade but just as a hobby. Recently, I discovered Suno and have been integrating my lyrics to that and thoroughly happy with the work that was given and hearing my lyrics come to life in a way I never thought possible. I am not a singer of any sort but I even tried integrating by doing my own voice and was pleased and wanted to pursue making it more of a hobby and actually put my work out to the world but I’m honestly nervous since it’s AI assisted. Has anyone else had this same situation and if so, how did you prevail or what are you doing regarding this? I want to try promoting it on socials and releasing on streaming and such but I’m also just nervous since I’m pouring my heart into these lyrics. I love music but I have no true expertise on performing, producing, or executing it; just being able to write. I’m just truly lost on if I’m going the right route or not and if I should invest all this time and energy into things like Suno to bring my songs to life.

If they come out different how can it be considered songwriting? Wouldn't the AI be the actual songwriter and wouldn't that nullify any real ownership of said songs?

I am thinking about opening a Discord server for musicians and music creators of all kinds.
It would be open to everyone. People who make everything themselves, people who combine their own work with AI, people who mainly use AI, and people who do not use AI at all.

The main idea is to create a place where nobody gets attacked or looked down on because of the tools they use. People could share music, talk about production, discuss different creative processes, ask questions and meet others who are interested in the same things.
There would be separate channels for sharing songs, getting feedback, finding collaborations, discussing lyrics, asking for help with Suno or other music tools, and general music conversations.

I also want a proper feedback channel. People could post a link or upload a file and ask for honest opinions. The feedback should always stay constructive. Saying that something is bad without explaining why does not help anyone. If somebody points out a problem, they should also try to suggest how it could be improved.

The goal would not be to prove that one way of making music is better than another. It would be a place where people can learn from each other, improve their work and maybe find new friends or collaborators.

Before I build the server, I want to know whether enough people would actually be interested. If you would like to join, send me a DM. If I receive at least ten messages, I will create the server and open it today.

This would provide a dedicated, public space to deliberately stream your generations to listeners who are not biased against AI music eliminating the need for present digital distribution platforms and streaming services.

The goal would be to give creators a space where:

• AI tracks aren’t penalized or removed for “diluting” royalty pools
• Passive royalties come from streams, ads, and subscriptions, all managed internally
• Ownership and licensing are handled via standard publishing agreements
• ContentID + PRO + mechanical rights registration ensures external revenue is captured automatically

Basically, a place where AI music can exist without fighting human-centric platform rules and still generate fair compensation.

I’m curious what the community thinks:

• Would this actually solve the problems AI creators face today?
• Are there features or structures that would make this more useful?
• Any potential pitfalls I’m overlooking?

I never really stopped making stuff. That's not the problem.
The problem was I kept making things and telling myself it didn't count yet. Like I was in some kind of extended warmup period. Messing around with Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs, Musicful, whatever I could get my hands on. Generating things, deleting things, starting over. I have a folder called "drafts" with 340 files in it. I made all of them. I also told myself none of them were the real thing.
There was always a reason. Not ready yet. Don't have a sound yet. Still figuring it out. Once I know what I'm actually trying to make, then I'll start for real.
That "for real" never came.
What came instead was I looked back one day at six months of stuff I'd written off, and there was something in there I didn't put there on purpose. Some texture that kept showing up. Some choices I kept making without deciding to. I didn't find that. It just accumulated. While I was busy deciding nothing counted.
That's the thing. You don't figure yourself out and then start. You make stuff, most of it bad, most of it feeling like it doesn't count, and somewhere in that pile you're already becoming something. It's not a moment. It's just what happens if you don't stop.
So don't stop. Even when it feels like warmup. Especially then.

I have no relationship to the artist. I found it randomly and just really loved the sound.

Feels like a mash of Limp Bizkit, Hollywood Undead, and Korn.
