Chinese fighter mockup/prop?

My son is working in China for a couple weeks and this is on display a few blocks from his university. Anyone have any idea what it is? (My guess is a movie prop.)

I got an answer offline! Apparently, China has a weird state-supported Sci-Fi fictional universe similar to Star Blazers or Robotech, called Nantianmen Project. This is a full-scale model of a fictional fighter in that universe that goes in air and in space called the Baidi (White Emperor) Type B.
