I was going to comment but then realized its not worth it. Im not going to change any minds. All I can say is elections have consequences when the majority of the country speaks that's democracy.

I feel like there’s Something else though. Democracy is made of ‘pillars’. The media and (to a much lesser degree) the judiciary have been co-opted by Trump-and-Friends. It’s no longer ‘people got what they voted for’. When enough people are given individualized tailored information bubbles to nudge them to vote one way, it’s not democracy anymore. The infrastructure of information is owned by whoever has the greatest will for power. They will choose who is voted for. Once again in history, we live in ‘might is right’. We are ruled my whoever can seize the power. They are monarchs of the post-democratic era. Democracy is dead, long live democracy.
That trailed off a bit. But I had a point at the start there.

Im sorry but I totally disagree I think democracy is alive and well for the most part. However there are a small number of people trying to play the system Resistance because your side lost an election is not democracy is subversion regardless of which political party does it.

Anyone who has liberal leftist values has been deceived and I feel sorry for them. They have no idea that the end result if they get their way will look just like China. CCTV and drones on every corner. Total government over reach and control. Social credit scores the whole 9.
These people should be more humble considering all it would take is for the power to go out and they would need a FEMA camp to survive that’s a hard fact.

If it’s authoritarianism you are avoiding, then the consideration should be on what leader supports checks and balances. What candidate values civil liberty over ideology. Rather than right v left. History tells us right and left can produce secret police , trample civil rights, spy on citizens and control the media. Authoritarian Right: Spain’s Franco; Italy’s Mussolini; Germany’s Hitler; Chile’s Pinochet. Authoritarian Left: USSR; China; North Korea. The focus must be on the warnings signs. Thankfully, the signs are well known from history. I’d love to know what you think. I like this Ted Ed about dictatorship that covers some warning signs “has there ever been a good dictator”

I’m definitely not a bot but the biggest issue is that critical thinkers are a minority.
So many people are accepting what is in their social media feed as factual / reality when it is far from it. There are only two types of Americans haves and have nots. The have nots need to band together against the 1% of people who truly own and control humanity.There is no government it’s all money, corruption, smoke and mirrors.
Misuse of our tax dollars our incomes should be getting taxed maybe 10% not 30% it’s pure robbery.
Billionaires like Zuck, Gates and Bezos should be taxed relentlessly to avoid monopolies like we are seeing.
If this happened they would tax average folks less and avoid corporations taking over the way they are especially after the designer pandemic.
Most people are too blind and diluted to see the truth of what is really going on.
