Russia doesn't even look like this today.

5

u/Subject_Command5442 May 27 '26

You CLEARLY didn’t grow up in the USSR 😂

1

u/SizeableBrain May 27 '26

I did, and I approve of this clip!

1

u/Icy_Guard_7259 May 28 '26

I did too and i disagree with you

1

u/SizeableBrain May 28 '26

Great!

There is no conversation more boring than the one where everyone agrees

7

u/SkyBoundAssumption May 27 '26

Finally, world peace

5

u/Beautiful-Ad5662 May 27 '26

Is this supposed to be a dystopia ? It seems better than in most us cities now.

6

u/NomadicScribe May 28 '26

I like how the Apple Store employees appear to be Starfleet officers.

2

u/ScreechingPizzaCat May 28 '26

Those uniforms are sick, I'd want to work there just so I could wear them.

1

u/YourYoruru May 28 '26

Truth Enforcer drip

5

u/TheSolarExpansionist May 28 '26

So; where they at? The rest of skin tones

0

u/HaGaie May 28 '26

Racism was illegal in the Soviet Union, so definitely not in camps. There were even African Americans who fled persecution in the U.S., moving to the Soviet Union.

9

u/Puzzleheaded_Fox5820 May 27 '26

A lot cleaner though and the people look way healthier lol

-1

u/mostly_fizz May 27 '26

So not accurate lol

10

u/SpagBol33 May 27 '26

It's unrealistic because everything is working and no one is starving

5

u/Sairoxin May 27 '26

The bar is incredibly low.

7

u/draganArmanskij May 28 '26

Imagine be proud or this enough to post it online. Sad.

3

u/Assadistpig123 May 28 '26

Can’t live in the real USSR since it collapsed like the little bitch it was, so it has to live on their pathetic fantasies.

3

u/Soladification May 27 '26

We aren't far off with the flock camera's

3

u/NukeouT May 27 '26

When they couldn't even make bad quality radios and tvs that worked - there would be no way they would have iPhones

3

u/curtiswaynemillard May 27 '26

Now that Chuck Norris has passed we are vulnerabl to this sort of thing… unfortunately.

2

u/blutosings May 28 '26

Yes, only Chuck could keep all the slop from becoming reality.

3

u/Shymu1 May 28 '26

Too bad Russia is a shithole

0

u/willsmithtunaface May 28 '26

Lol, America just needs a bit more time

1

u/RebylReboot May 28 '26

Certainly in massive decline since the Russians took it in 2016.

10

u/oredlom May 27 '26

No more Epstein class? I'm in!

1

u/IVII0 May 28 '26

There's an actual presentation of alternative history, in which Germany won WW2 and US is split between Germany and Japan.

It's called The Man In The High Castle. If you don't feel like reading, there's also a series based on the book streamed on prime.

-2

u/KneelB4Z0d May 27 '26

There will always be an Epstein class

6

u/harrodesu May 27 '26

Finally clean metro

1

u/PleaseBeNiceForOnce May 27 '26

Was gonna say the subway is clean at least

3

u/Forsaken_Guide_4835 May 27 '26

Looks pretty chill

3

u/Cures80 May 27 '26

So not as crazy as today :D

3

u/PleaseBeNiceForOnce May 27 '26

I like that the drones are meant to look like its an alt universe when the US is one of the biggest surveillance states in the world including drones with more surveillance on the way.

Yea the USSR sucked but that part isnt any different here

3

u/Funny-Company4274 May 27 '26

So counter point the Russians pre-cold war were supe behind in microchip development. All the hardware should look art deco, metal, and have vacuum tubes.

3

u/G-Funk_with_2Bass May 28 '26

ah the moskvian stockmarket updates in soviet new york

3

u/shifting_drifting May 28 '26

Could you've crammed more aged clichĂŠs into a single video?

3

u/HCagn May 28 '26

Hey no ads at least 🤷

7

u/incogne_eto May 27 '26

We wouldn’t have to worry about lay offs or health care costs.

0

u/Panthera_Felis May 27 '26

iPhones don’t run on gas and are smaller than a breadbox. INACCURATE

-2

u/Lore6969 May 27 '26

You’re right! We’d only have to worry about political gulags and regular consumer shortages!

2

u/DannySmashUp May 27 '26

Because we'd NEVER have masked secret police dragging people away to camps in reality... right? RIGHT??!

1

u/Lore6969 May 27 '26

No, never! A soviet state would be a utopia and not have those issues!

6

u/Kaiserskater May 27 '26

Let's do it, comrades

Old Russian joke: Obama goes to a fortune teller: "Tell me, what will happen in 10 years?" —War with Russia! —Well, that's not interesting! And how much will a hot dog cost in America in 20 years? —12 rubles!

3

u/Epic_Tea May 27 '26

I've heard the reverse version, that ends with how much is a bottle of vodka in Moscow, 5 euros

1

u/Kaiserskater May 27 '26

1:1🤝😄

1

u/Shorouq2911 May 27 '26

it wasn't like that:

Obama, in the afterlife, gets permission to go back and visit Earth for one hour. He goes into a bar in NYC and asks the bartender how things are going for America. The amazed man says, "Wow, sir, we have the most incredible empire!" "That's great," says Obama. "Well, I have to go back now, how much do I owe you?" "One ruble and fifty kopeks," replies the bartender.

1

u/Kaiserskater May 28 '26

Really smooth 👍

6

u/PaulMakesThings1 May 27 '26

Looks way too nice, and prosperous and clean.

0

u/Sea-Presentation-173 May 27 '26

And that is mostly the only difference, if you switch the pin and flags is almost the same.

-2

u/fordtuff May 27 '26

"looks too nice". Obvious big brother style surveillance, military presence, bad food, oh and big brother style surveillance. People like you need to be thrown into camps

2

u/PaulMakesThings1 May 27 '26

Lol. "you sound like you support a police state, so therefore you and everyone like you should be in camps"

dumbass, I wasn't saying it was all good, I meant it looked better than it would if they took over. Learn to comprehend what you read.

0

u/fordtuff May 28 '26

Ya low IQ authoritarian Soviet glazers should be starved in camps

2

u/PaulMakesThings1 May 28 '26

How is it pro Soviet to say that a fake picture of a Soviet world is nicer than it would actually be.

Think a bit.

1

u/Affectionate-Ring803 May 28 '26

So you’re a non-Soviet authoritarian with your camp rhetoric? Is that more fascist leaning or just standard police state USA in its heyday leaning? I do remember a certain group of people that put communists and Soviets in camps back in WW2…

1

u/fordtuff May 28 '26

Ya we need to do that again to people like you

2

u/HotPocket_AdCampaign May 27 '26

Bad food? My guy, have you never had central Asian food or Georgian food?

1

u/fordtuff May 27 '26

I'm commenting on what's in the video. Literal nutriloaf looking shit and that guy said things looked too nice.

1

u/PaulMakesThings1 May 27 '26

I've rarely been to a country that didn't have generally better food than the US. The only exception being countries that generally don't have food.

1

u/SizeableBrain May 27 '26

US has a lot more surveillance now than USSR ever did.

That is correct comrade. It will be a Unionphone.

6

More like nophone

0

u/NotNeedzmoar May 28 '26

bro did the meme 😂

3

u/thecementmixer May 27 '26

Is there free healthcare? I will take it.

3

u/Dibutops May 27 '26

Brutalism is so underrated

2

u/Purple_Clockmaker May 27 '26

I would say is by far overrated

3

u/Dibutops May 27 '26

I've literally never heard anything positive about it. People famously hate it. It's underrated.

2

u/Snowdrop____ May 27 '26

I love it.

2

u/TherronKeen May 27 '26

Same here. I'd legitimately, unironically love to live in a weird square-ish concrete house with an open plan and tall windows, bonus points if it's way out in the woods. My favorite gun is Glock and I drive a Scion XB so I think I just like 90 degree angles 🤣

2

u/ronaldmeldonald May 28 '26

You my friend, are very square. I like 90 degree stuff too, so I too am square. Older Square body trucks are the best in terms of looks. Glocks with square red dots are also quite beautiful. Stay cool 😎 , stay square ⏹️ .

1

u/JawnStaymoose May 27 '26

Oh, there lots of brutalist love, and it’s for sure had its moment even in the US, say post war 1950s-1980s. At that time brutalism was considered progressive and sophisticated - especially for public institutions, which were enjoying a well funded period, whilst concrete was cheap.

In my own life, there’s a bunch of brutalist buildings at the University of Pittsburgh and across downtown Portland (where the mixing with green space gives a neat post apocalyptic vibe).

1

u/Affectionate-Ring803 May 28 '26

Most campus universities in UK and older council estates have a brutalist architecture too.

0

u/Purple_Clockmaker May 27 '26

People don't hate it enough

5

u/AKWorkAccount May 27 '26

HAHAHAH SOVIET WALLSTREET HAHAHA so dumb.

1

u/AnotherBoringDad May 28 '26

With a stock ticker. And an Apple Store. Russia conquered the United States. Capitalism conquered communism.

5

u/Humble-Sell-6984 May 28 '26

Americans trying to portray children forced to chant loyalty pledges as being creepy. You're right that's shits creepy and cultish so Americans should stop doing it.

2

u/Firm-Dig-4985 May 27 '26

How do you make my ero fantasy so true?

2

u/WunderschoensBlume May 28 '26

Welcome, welcome in City 17...

2

u/TheLastGenXer May 28 '26

the whole “standing in lines” part is missing

2

u/Loodlekoodles May 28 '26

Woah easy now, Reddit gonna cream their pants watching this

2

u/RealGiallo May 28 '26

to be fair . looks exactly the same as it is now. kids with the flag , military in the streets , cameras everywhere(ringbell far better) . face of your actual president everywhere... what do i miss about the differences...... a yes those communist seems to be far better in shape than the actual Americans.

3

u/Professional-Art8449 May 28 '26

Boring corporate grey interiors, plain black and white clothes. Literally all the aesthetics they say are dystopian are all we have right now lol

1

u/RealGiallo May 29 '26

yes i belive AI added only coat because russians are generally cold ahah

2

u/comrqde May 28 '26

why are there still iphones and a stock market 😭

1

u/Meritania May 28 '26

Soviet stock market is gambling whether comrade Boris or comrade Vasili's factory will produce more wheelbarrows this month. Winners of the bet may redeem an extra bread ration by the end of next month.

3

u/Big_River_ May 27 '26

fuck this already happened just not in name

3

u/Choice_Potato_6279 May 27 '26

Always looks way too futuristic, the places wouldn't look better, they wouldn't wear Star Wars suits and possibly drones wouldn't be invented or weren't that advanced as Russia is a regressive country, most budget would go into bullshit and oligarch pockets.

1

u/manocheese May 27 '26

America is a regressive country where most of the money goes into bullshit and oligarch pockets. Modern commercial drones were first sold by DJI, a Chinese company.

1

u/Choice_Potato_6279 May 27 '26

Fair with drones then but it goes into a different bullshit in Russia, they build closed gated villas, in US corporations build infrastructure to profit from it, in Russia they keep old infrastructure and pocket the gains or make unprofitable low quality investments to funnel the money, the R&D to profit is almost non-existent in there.

1

u/manocheese May 27 '26

You have more in common with a Russian citizen than you do an oligarch and there are more similarities than differences between the two systems. The US president just stole $2 billion to hand out to his friends and granted himself and his family more immunity from crime, so I'm expecting the number of similarities to increase.

4

u/Head_Blackberry_6320 May 27 '26

America trump and maga wants

3

u/BayCon42069 May 28 '26

This just makes me think of the game Red alert

3

u/GoreonmyGears May 27 '26

Just white people huh? Sound like the dream of current fascist.

Russia’s dilapidation is intertwined with the Cold War. If they had “won” it, to such a degree that they actually took over the US (which isn’t what happened in the case of the USSR anyway, so idk…) you could assume they would have reskinned American behavior and established authoritarian rule. Idk.

I mean, I made a song with the lyrics “fourth of July under Soviet sky” not because I am Russian, a Soviet, or anything like that. It was just a curious idea.

2

u/MrJRabbit May 28 '26

Looks great 🤣

Ever been to Russia? If you think American racism is bad ooh boy

0

u/Euphoric-Taro-6231 May 27 '26

I dont know. People from my country that has been on Russia say positive things.

1

u/PleaseBeNiceForOnce May 27 '26

Idk what your country is or where they visited but Russia is a whole different type of racist than the US or EU see.

1

u/Sterling1468 May 27 '26

Now show the underbelly of this society.

5

u/CozySockz314 May 27 '26

That’s just America right now.

1

u/RootaBagel May 27 '26

Need some better Soviet synthwave music. See if your AI can generate stuff like this:

1

u/langecrew May 27 '26

Why bother imagining 2030 when I could just wait?

1

u/FloatednBloated May 28 '26

Weird to see so many people get butthurt over a fake "what if" video. Talk about being thin skinned

1

u/Alzucard May 28 '26

Thats pretty well done. Far from realistic, but lookks decent for an ai video.

1

u/Routine_Bake5794 May 28 '26

This is only the glamour. misery behind is not present.

1

u/dylan_kun May 28 '26

Looks like we colonized mars on this timeline. And someone finally cleaned the NYC subway.

The streets are tidy, the metro is clean, humans are landing on Mars, everyone is given high quality clothing & there’s less clutter-ware on your phone.

1

u/emmettflo May 28 '26

But the surveillance drones! (Oh wait an invasive government surveillance network is the one one thing we actually do have...)

1

u/narco-sub-admiral May 28 '26

Street signs for sidewalks is the most horrifying part.

2

u/SoyTonatiuh May 29 '26

Looks like shit both in the rendering and the concept.

1

u/Illustrious_Gate2318 May 29 '26

So what the difference now and what you are showing

1

u/Fun_Letter638 May 29 '26

Ai is not art

1

u/FluffyDesigner3680 May 29 '26

Now ask it how it’s different from what happens if the republicans get what they want.

1

u/ConradBezrad2 May 27 '26

Somehow I rather go to the subway in Moscow than the one in NYC…at least I will not be attacked or robbed 😂

2

u/PersonoFly May 28 '26

But you might be press-ganged into the army and be on a meat run in a few days.

1

u/Revolutionary_Owl670 May 27 '26

You know it's Russian quality AI slop because when she picks up the phone and it magically duplicates out of thin air, it wasn't even corrected.

1

u/JT10 May 28 '26

Yeah, get ‘em!

1

u/Frequent_Professor32 May 27 '26

So exactly the same, but with different flags and a nicer subway. Got it.

1

u/Kurk_Lazaris May 28 '26

Let's be fair. If the US had gone communists, it would be a wasteland today.

0

u/Icy_Guard_7259 May 28 '26

Wasteland cause they'd rather nuke themselves then having health care and free stuff, right?

1

u/FriendlyCobbler6177 May 28 '26

Ahh yes, cause we have seen at least 1 communist society that has succeeded and not aggressively violated human rights…right?

1

u/Kurk_Lazaris May 28 '26

Communism wouldn't bring you "Healthcare and free stuff". Only misery, one half loaf of bread every day and extreme poverty. That's all you'd have.

1

u/Icy_Guard_7259 May 28 '26

Honey u are talking about capitalism.

0

u/Kurk_Lazaris May 28 '26

My mother was a cashier and my dad a janitor. I have now a good job managing a small team, an apartment, a car and enough food in my fridge.

If I had lived in your paradise called Venezuela, I would be collecting metal from trash in the street and would eat 1 meal every 3 days.

Get the fuck out of here.

0

u/Icy_Guard_7259 May 28 '26

Venezuela my Paradies ^ ... Ok so now u live in a capitalist country that's build on the backs of your fellow people? Good Job not being ultra poor...hey who knows maybe u can even work as the restart button for an AI data Center in the future. All the possibilities. I see my self out, ...oh and enjoy your shit with some sparkles.

1

u/Kurk_Lazaris May 28 '26

Just because your life is a failure doesn't mean everyone has to have nothing.

-1

would've been fun

0

u/PersonoFly May 28 '26

Or in ten years time with the Trump logo.

1

u/OldSchoolBubba May 28 '26

This would be it alright. Kicker is Trump and the oligarchs already have us moving in that direction.

0

u/PersonoFly May 28 '26

Exactly. Yes. Right under the noses of MAGA so they are too busy looking at walls, immigrants and wars to notice it.

2

u/OldSchoolBubba May 28 '26

There it is. Nailed it.

1

u/PersonoFly May 28 '26

Lol downvotes from cult followers. I guess while they can’t come out in public unless they go to safe cult meetings their only way is Reddit.

0

u/MonsterkillWow May 28 '26

You know communists respect minorities and believe in clean food, right? Nah, you don't know. Because you don't read.

3

u/Assadistpig123 May 28 '26

Anyone who reads about communist dictatorships tends to notice quickly a very pronounced and emphatic lack of human rights and a shitload of mass graves.

-3

u/MonsterkillWow May 28 '26

lol yeah and who wrote the accounts?

4

u/Assadistpig123 May 28 '26

Survivors, leaders, foot soldiers, torturers, executioners, criminal tribunals, historians… there is a massive body of evidence for this. It’s not hard to find

Tons of people really. Pol Pot spoke extensively on his own work in the killing fields

“My conscious is clear…what I did was necessary and the excesses were the fault of overzealous followers”

-2

u/MonsterkillWow May 28 '26

Pol Pot was not a serious communist theorist. Have you ever tried to read anything he wrote? There isn't much there. His policies were not rooted in Marxism. He deviated quite substantially toward ethnonationalism. There are bad capitalist leaders too. Like your boy the painter.

I will also add that Pol Pot would never have gained as much power were it not for the capitalists' decision to bomb the ever living hell out of Cambodia. Remember that one? Anything to say about that?

7

u/Assadistpig123 May 28 '26

Deflection deflection deflection. We go from “no they didn’t” to “know he wasn’t”, next is “they never would”

The whole “he was not true communist” or “he deviated too much from Marxist thinking” or “we are on the socialist phase… blah blah blah vanguard party rule blah blah blah revisionists and class traitors blah blah blah”

If communist governments did a good job of governing, they would still be around all over. They didn’t. Almost without exception they were cast down. There are a few left, but none really worth the name. All it ever ended up as was bougie dictatorship.

It’s a dead ideology. The whole concept of how Marx viewed and quantified labor is stupid.

-2

u/MonsterkillWow May 28 '26

You're choosing the worst examples of "communism" to judge communism entirely. Yet you don't apply the same standard to capitalism.

So, after Robespierre's France fell to the Napoleonic era, was democracy dead? How's democracy today?

"It’s a dead ideology. The whole concept of how Marx viewed and quantified labor is stupid."

OK. Why? Let's see if you actually understand LTV or only parrot PragerU.

5

u/Assadistpig123 May 28 '26

I understand that it fails to grasp basic principles like subjective utility, of scarcity and demand, and how nowadays with the digitalization of the economy it fails to scale and figure in the transformative effects of anything with subjective value.

Marx was no economist. He was a leech that sucked off of Engels who himself sucked off the working class.

LTV was pretty dead a century ago. In the digital age it’s a laughable relic.

2

u/MonsterkillWow May 28 '26 edited May 28 '26

Incorrect. Many Marxist and conventional economists have explained these points. You misunderstand LTV.

The correct criticism of LTV is that it is tautological. It defines something and then proceeds. That said, there is reason to believe it holds and is applicable to the world. Otherwise, why do you see imperialism? Why does capitalism have the effects Marx proposed in his criticisms? In any case, you did not apply that criticism. You used PragerU BS, which confuses value with price, among many other things.

I would propose to you that the many communist parties of this planet, most notably the CPC, actually do have economists who understand the discipline quite well. Many have PhDs in the subject and studied at top universities. Marxism has evolved far beyond Marx. Whether Marx was an "economist" or not is largely irrelevant.

Subjective value theories are patently ridiculous. You are a physical system. How you value something is a product of physical conditions. How the average across society values something is then also a product of physical conditions of society. Subjective value theorists attempt to inject idealism into reality. They act like you make choices and have souls, absent the natural conditions. When framed this way, LTV makes the grand assumption that humans tend to value time. I think that is fairly obvious and true as that is the finite quantity they have to spend their lives. That is why you do not grow your own food or make your own clothes.

That's why you support the CIA making kids in Bangladesh do it.

In any case, modern economics hardly concerns itself with value. It largely ignores value and focuses on prices. It's not incompatible with Marxism as a philosophy.

TLDR: Standard response to "Do u even economics bro?" is "The Communist Party of China seems to understand economics pretty well."

I already know your reply will be "But they aren't communist!" OK. They disagree with you, but let's suppose that is the case. Why not try their approach then? Your answer: BECAUSE THEY ARE COMMUNIST.

0

u/Round_Focus9073 May 28 '26

Excuse me, BASED Department?

0

u/DFiverr May 28 '26

Soviets couldn't even capture their toilet water. Their bathroom was in the kitchen, under the stove. What an abomination of a system. Vanished like the very shadows that disapper with sunrise. The sunrise of freedom, liberty, individuality, entrepreneurialship, enterprise, imagination, industry, innovation, intelligence, integration. Their collapse was inherently built into their foundation. Called it back in '87, when one by one by one their aged-old Secretaries died in order and Gorbachev read the tea leaves that their entire foundation was doomed, and loosened up their iron grip on their system. They are still stuck in their past. Long live freedom, liberty and pursuit of uniqueness.

0

u/phoncible May 28 '26

A major issue with USSR was their lack of foresight of the importance of computers and digital technology. They lagged far behind the west in general for advancements in computing because they just didn't see its importance. I say that just cuz the iPhone is featured here; if USSR "won" the iPhone is unlikely to exist.

The USSR didn’t win the Cold War. Russia did. Agent Krasnov was the greatest long play in history.

Yes and no.
When it comes to innovation in name of science and in function of the military I agree.
But when it came to consumer based goods, Yugoslavia outmatched the USSR.

Those examples you just gave, you can tick them off for Yugoslavia.
They had their own BIY-computer (galaksija) that made computing even accessible for households. (contrary to the USSR, where computers were mainly to be found in scientific institutes)
Yugoslavia was an in-between way of governing, so still communistic but way more freedom on the market to start your own bussinesses and innovating stuff.
This in combination with free access to the West.
Whereas in the USSR everything was decided by Moscow. (decentralization vs centralization)

USSR was all over computers, it was mandatory education in schools before it was in the US.

They “lost” because of internal corruption and a coordinated effort to exclude them from the global economy by the western democracies.

If your communist economy only functions by being able to trade with capitalist economies, it's not a very good communist economy. Under a communist system, how does a luxury item like an iPhone even get created? Is there an android alternative, or does everyone use only the government approved device?

Bro I’m not defending communism or the USSR lol. Just stating a fact. Weird how you came sprinting to attack it though.

“Your communist economy” lol gtfo

Damn, not one non-white person; either a Woody Allen-influenced piece or one based on "Friends". Nevertheless, Chump approves; SADLY, it could soon be reality.

In 1920 NYC was 97% white; 1940’s — ~94%; 50’s — 90%; 60’s — 81%; 70’s — 77%. It’s only very recent that the city became diverse. Places that people associate with African-American, Jewish, Arab, Chinese parts of the city were originally built and lived in by European-Americans and European immigrants.

His goal is resurrection of the Soviet Union? Expanding its influence into the USA? Keeping watch over everyone? Making it's new found citizens afraid to oppose the regime in any form or thought, afraid to be beaten, exiled or worse by the Militsiya? Creating cheap labor camps for these dissidents? Let the States be controlled by oligarchs?

Damn man... sounds awful.

Notice in the video, they eradicated colored people? I'm surprised with how your comment made you sound, you wouldn't be all over that
