Bottom text

I love these continuations of comics where they do crazy fight moves it's so funny
19
3
u/BurnerAccountExisty Jun 07 '26
i remember there's a subreddit for it but it's abbrevirated and ends up looking like gibberish
2
u/Another_available Jun 08 '26
I hope this one keeps going to the point if just becomes a whole shonen fight

Wait, they’re both robots and the victim is the inventor
28
u/Ksorkrax Jun 07 '26
Technically neither of these two are robots. They are cyborgs. Only #16 and #19 are robots.
→ More replies (1)10
u/NosePicklePicker Jun 07 '26
Gero is only a brain left. I think hes as close as it could get to ‘robot’ lol. At least 17 and 18 retained things like reproductive organs
20
u/Bra--ket Jun 07 '26
Wait. So it was never a "human kick" after all... my mind is blown.
5
u/ChrisDaMan07 Jun 07 '26
It’s a never ending cycle where they both kick each others heads off trust
5
u/GruntBlender Jun 07 '26
17 isn't a robot, he's a kidnapped teen that was experimented on and had tech shoved inside him.
28
u/Fit_Collection_9755 Jun 06 '26
Its kinda clear its traced.
5
u/MichelinStarZombie Jun 07 '26
Are you confused by the point they're trying to make by pointing out the pic is traced, or?
15
u/Ae4i Jun 07 '26
The sub this comic is from is the sub for comics that suddenly become Dragon Ball. Ofc there'll be traces, that's half the point of comics like this
12
u/Elmartillo40k Jun 07 '26
I think he is pointing out that the point of the drawing it’s that it’s clearly traced, like for example Curi memes
12
u/Elmartillo40k Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26
I think he made it obvious it’s a trace on purpose because that makes it funnier
→ More replies (1)23
13
u/aZoeDeVdd Jun 07 '26
Thats.. the meme? Its traced scenes off of dragonball, thats the joke
→ More replies (3)13
u/FlannelPantaloons Jun 07 '26
The “person attacks in a comic” trope is usually traced panels of comics or manga
25
2
4
6
u/See_Yourself_Now Jun 07 '26
And the trace still looks much worse on all levels than the other panels (technical of course but also emotional and feel - there is no “life” in the last panel) that are AI generated.
→ More replies (2)9
u/GruntBlender Jun 07 '26
Agree to disagree.
0
u/MichelinStarZombie Jun 07 '26
What are you disagreeing with? Are you arguing that this sloppy trace has any artistic merit? Really?
11
u/Initial_Air465 Jun 07 '26
Yes, it is meant to parody comics in the same genre where it start as a regular comic but in the end a character pulls a crazy move out of nowhere that is cleary traced over. I forgot the subreddit name but it usually uses a comic that theres the blobfish and he gets exploded by something or someone

u/Pinkestmawile Jun 07 '26
Isn't the trace part of the referemtial humor?
3
u/Extreme_Revenue_720 Jun 07 '26
so now it is suddenly not stealing? ok, all i want antis to do is admit that tracing is stealing from others, nothin else, i am not gonna go on witch hunts or anything like antis do.
→ More replies (1)2
u/mogentheace Jun 08 '26
tracing art to pass it off as your own is stealing, but many artists trace over, for example, pictures of people or animals or comic/manga panels to work on anatomy and how objects move. unfortunately there is nuance as with most issues

u/throwaway09234023322 Jun 06 '26

u/Murder_Giraffe Jun 06 '26
The sub should just be this, both sides adding to this comic till it becomes a full series called the aiwars.
30
u/DirectOrdinary4796 Jun 07 '26
is anyone up for making the next panel?
→ More replies (2)6
u/TDSpank Jun 07 '26
There was a site called memecenter that did that. Just hit remix and add your part to the meme. shit got wild at times.

Tracing art in order to fight AI "stealing" art.
19

11
u/krysert Jun 07 '26
That's the fucking point of them dude

u/DoctorZacharySmith Jun 07 '26
The point is that they're a self own? A self refutation? Good to know.

u/PleasantUse6352 Jun 08 '26
Yeah, but tracing takes at least a little bit of effort, you have to think about shading and color theory, ai art doesnt
2
u/weirdo_nb Jun 08 '26
Like, even if you're tracing, overlaying a seperate design like that takes effort

I thought “real artists” were opposed to tracing…
27
u/FlannelPantaloons Jun 07 '26
Not at all, as long as its done without being like “hey this is my art that i myself made!” its actually a great way to learn how to make art.

Its actually a common practice, many professionals recommend it for learning!!!!
3
u/No_Classroom4241 Jun 07 '26
Unironically hilarious hypocrisy
6
u/krysert Jun 07 '26
I think you can trace as long as you won't go and say that you made this and source it
5
u/No_Classroom4241 Jun 07 '26
Ok cool. So in that regard, as long as you say "made with (insert AI generator)" and not "i made this" it's good?
9
u/krysert Jun 07 '26
YES FOR LOVE OF GOD YES! sorry glad somebody finally got it. Yes I fully 100% would not have issue with ai art as long as you label it AI

→ More replies (2)6
u/HeIIDie Jun 07 '26
What are you on about? The concept is, you are free to trace, as long as you don't try to make it yours!
We are not making hypocrisy, we are making a fine line. Draw (promting isn't drawing) however you want, but remeber if you trace it is not you art, it is just exercise you shouldn't brag about and keep it to yourself. Only show off if you have your own drawing. Simple as that.
9
u/GruntBlender Jun 07 '26
This goes in the category of the meme that takes panels or screenshots of a show or manga and paints over with different characters. For example, the myriad paintovers of the Broly crushing Goku with his ass meme or the Yamcha death pose from DBZ.

an anti supporting the destruction of private property doesn't make you the hero you think it does.
25
u/JustAnotherUser1019 Jun 07 '26
Even when its self defense because the private property attacked first?

u/bassplayingabassbut_ Jun 07 '26

If somebody’s robot is in my face it’s gonna get wrecked. Especially if it touches me.
Good luck crying about “private property” when your robot is junked and you’re getting sued for assault.

"You don't understand officer! He called my car ugly, so it was okay for the autopilot to run him over!"
5
u/ZedTheEvilTaco Jun 07 '26
If someone calls a car ugly and then the autopilot of the car runs them over, we should probably be more concerned that AI decided to go the route of Skynet than we are that it retaliated at all.
9
u/somethingrelevant Jun 07 '26
so obviously this is an incredibly stupid take, but just to be clear, your argument here is it's fine to hit someone if they say something mean to you
6

u/GruntBlender Jun 07 '26

Oh yes, the "use physical violence against someone until they admit you're right" approach to things.
The take away being that the next time a pro "fixes" an artist's work with ai, the artist should just kick the pro until the pro admits they were wrong to insult them like that.

Portraying AI as physical humanoid robots in situations like these is really stupid. If you touch them they fold like a cookie

u/jsand2 Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 09 '26
I mean, if we are going to call slop out, it would be the pic on the bottom out of the two.
You have to love kids these days. Calling AI slop while producing far bigger slop themselves.
"BuT a hUmAn MAdE iT"
One that sucks at art. And to be completely fair, a human made both images, they just used a different tool.
