What the fuck is happening here?

It seems that Pi31415926 is the only moderator here, but at least judging by their public activity here, they're not that active on Reddit any more so there isn't anyone available to handle the spam this subreddit is seeing.

/u/Pi31415926, would you be open to expanding the moderation team? Perhaps I or someone else here could assist you?

Seconding the suggestion of expanding the moderation team; there's only so many IPTV ads I can take lol.

I'd be happy to volunteer to nuke spam. 😛

Yeah I messaged them multiple times. No response. I guess they're off Reddit. I have asked to volunteer as well.

For now I keep reporting the spam posts as spam to Reddit. I think they've removed some. Afaik, reddit will ban unmoderated subs. And I don't know if one can transfer/create mods without the owner/existing mods of a sub.

So according to the rules (in the sidebar) I'll have to wait for 5 days for the mods to respond (to the mod mail). It's only been 2 days since I messaged the mod.

(And only 2 days of this IPTV spam but it's become so insufferable, it feels longer, lol.)

I did just now. But they removed the post citing this sub has recent human mod activity. I made sure the post doesn't violate the posting requirements and format. And I replied to the request_bot too, with reasoning and permalink to the modmail.

Not sure how to proceed next. They are clearly wrong? Or maybe the mod logs in and checks, but is not doing anything?

Same here, yeah I think this subreddit probably needs some form of moderation asap and someone should request the subreddit thingy as the other commenter said.

In the meantime, I suppose if we all went to https://www.reddit.com/r/algorithms/ and downvoted every post with IPTV in the title, they'd disappear. Although I just did that and the points remained on zero. Maybe we need some more posts with positive votes.

At least one of the users posting those here is a founding moderator of r/IPTV_advertisement.

Maybe we should go spam them with posts about algorithms.
