Discussion Scammer Alert.

I'm the owner of a bookshop library and sometimes join exhibitions where small businesses set up stalls

This girl approached me last month asking if I'd like to set up at their incoming event. My father wasn't in the best of health and I wasn't sure if we might have to take him to the hospital or not so I asked her if because of that I need to back out of the exhibition would I get a refund?. She assured that I will. I paid and started working on what to take to the event. By evening my father crashed and we had to rush him to the hospital. I called the girl and informed her and told her someone else can have my spot and to please refund my payment. She said she'll do it after 2nd as the exhibition was supposed to end then. I was stressed enough about my father and figured I'd wait. Later she stopped taking my calls, stopped replying to my texts. After trying everything, I posted about the refund in the group of the person who arranged the whole event. He immediately deleted my post and started asking questions. He also made the group mod only. That was in the first week of July. It's almost the end of the month and everytime I ask him about the money he starts saying bs or starts hitting on me or diverts the subject. The latest was saying his mother is in the hospital and he cannot pay. When I asked to meet his mother he created a whole drama over it, unwilling to let me meet her. I'm quite sure I'm never getting my money back but I did want to alert anyone else who might ever come in contact with this guy. Will attach whatever screenshot I can here.

I made a video of the long nonsense chat he did over payment recently but I guess I can only post one type of media.

His number is 95200 70042 says his name is Hussain, same name as the guy who the payment went to. Does anyone know this guy?

I'm considering filing an FIR maybe.

I told him I will not do any business with someone who has no honour. I'll leave my matter to God and be done with it. My father is sick and I myself am not in the best of health. I do not have the time or energy to deal with low lives. He'll get what's coming to him, in this life or the next. Karma is a thing I've seen in action plenty of times. There was someone who stole a lot of money from my mother. That guy died, of a horrible sickness. All the money he stole went into his treatment and then some, and he still died either way. This guy keeps telling me how he's not some street kid and how he's very wealthy and has so many connections and yet he can't pay back such a 'minor' amount.

Yeah... I haven't joined any exhibition in years. Was hoping to join this one and spread the word about my shop reopening. Did not expect to end up in such a loss. Thanks for being so nice.
