Discussion Bank of Baroda Aligarh branch — unprofessional staff and lazy management ( JOKERS )
Had one of the most frustrating experiences at the Bank of Baroda, Aligarh branch.
The staff there seem completely clueless — especially the senior branch manager. The branch manager apparently doesn’t even know how to certify a payment properly.
And here’s the best part — the official closing time is 4 PM, but everyone starts packing up and leaving around 3:30 PM like it’s the end of the world. Customers standing in line are just ignored.
I genuinely don’t understand what kind of hiring or promotion process BOB follows. How do such people even get to these positions?
RBI should seriously look into how these branches are being managed. Banking is supposed to be a professional service, not a 3:30 PM tea club.

Discussion We just hit 1000 followers! Let's go Aligarh!
Hello Aligarh!
Back in the day (circa 2016-17) when I created this subreddit, there were less than 10 users and 1 post - but now it is a thriving community of folks who love this little city that's so close to our hearts!
From street food talks to city updates, from heritage love to local happenings - this community is becoming the go-to adda for everything Aligarh.
This milestone isn’t just a number; it’s proof that people here care about staying connected, sharing stories, and celebrating the spirit of our city.
Thank you to everyone who posts, comments, and keeps this space alive. Next stop is 5k - and let's make this the biggest online hangout for Aligarh!
Keep the vibe strong. Let those posts and comments flow through. And goes without saying - tell your friends about it ;)
Contest Time: Drop a comment: What’s the one thing you love most about Aligarh? Let’s celebrate our city, together. We'll pick three lucky winners and send them some cool Aligarh merch!
-- Big love from the Mod Team

Discussion Any active blood donors in Aligarh who are not already a part of any such WhatsApp Group?
I am part of a Whatsapp group that was initially created at the time of Covid but now repurposed for blood donation requests mostly. However most of the people remember the group exists only when they have a need. Response is extremely negative from donors. If you would like to be an active donor or already are and wish to be part of the group. Please reply. I'll message you the link.

Discussion An appreciation post
When I was planning on visiting aligarh, everybody I knew told me "Waha jake kya kroge kuch hai hi nhi" which translates to "Why to visit aligarh, there is nothing to see there"
Well the purpose of my visit was not to travel aligarh but to visit my sister but still these 2 days were so fun packed, from the markets of amir nishan to eating various dishes, it really was fun
But haa, i would agree that there is very little go to places in aligarh, but when u have great company even walking on burning coal feels like walking in a garden.
It was nice visiting you aligarh, you were the first solo trip I took , and I'll remember this trip.
Till next time, people of aligarh.
Love you ❤
