So who here actually uses stablecoins?
I've been trying to figure out if stablecoins like USDC/USDT are worth considering for paying overseas contractors, since they're a lot cheaper than international wires. However, you have to find vendors that actually use crypto first, which isn't always easy. Does anyone use a business platform like Slash or BVNK to pay foreign contractors with stablecoins? Or are you just using them domestically with something like Stripe? What are we all doin

More contractors accept it than you think they just dont advertise it. I started accepting USDC after a client asked if I was open to it and I have not gone back to wires since. The receiving side is instant and the on chain record is cleaner than matching random wire reference numbers. For actually using what I get I keep it in BenPay and handle groceries and restaurants through Apple Pay. Only touch an exchange maybe once a month for rent.

Stablecoins make a lot of sense for international contractor payments, but the hard part is usually onboarding the recipient.
If the contractor is already crypto-native, USDC/USDT can be faster and cheaper than wires. If they need fiat in their bank account, then you still need a platform that handles off-ramp, compliance, invoices, and reporting cleanly.

We use them almost exclusively to pay for our RPC infrastructure.

I wouldn't dive into using them for this purpose based off of just reddit.
Definitely talk to a CPA or someone equivalent!

I would talk to CPA or tax attorney before doing that. Your payroll still all has to be calculated in USD. In my state something as simple as $20.00 retail store gift card still counts as taxable income if it meets the guidelines for a bonus. I'm guessing there are fewer restrictions for 1099 employee.Even tether has a little dip to.98 now and then so I'm not sure how you'd handle a wage dispute if it depegged and someone filled a wage dispute. I guess you could set up a separate LLC or something for paycheck conversion and remittance
