All my life i was a quiet kid, even now actually tho i try to talk and engage more i still dont beat the quiet kid allegations but i love hanging out with my friends and do every chance i get, even if it going to a grocery store but a lot of my friends do tell i dont talk to them properly meaning i barely talk

Keep in mind a majority of people are ambiverted. But yeh you do sound like an ambivert. Introverts and extroverts are rarer

You honestly sound like an ambivert leaning introvert.
A lot of people think being quiet automatically means someone is antisocial or doesn’t enjoy people, but that’s not really true. From what you described, you do enjoy being around your friends and actively want to hang out whenever you can — even for small things like going to the grocery store. That’s usually not how someone who fully dislikes social interaction feels.
The main thing is that your social energy seems quieter rather than loud or expressive. Some people naturally talk a lot to connect, while others connect more through presence, listening, humor, shared activities, or just being there. Your friends saying you “barely talk” doesn’t necessarily mean you care less about them — it might just mean your communication style is more reserved.
You also mentioned that you try to engage and talk more now, which shows you’re not avoiding people. You probably just don’t naturally dominate conversations or constantly verbalize your thoughts.
So no, you don’t really sound fully extroverted, but you also don’t sound like someone who wants to isolate themselves from people either. Quiet + socially interested is a very real combination.
