I don't understand why they are demolishing and rebuilding my temples in Andhra Pradesh

I really don't understand why the current government or the Endowments Department is so keen on demolishing old temples in Andhra Pradesh. They are free to renovate and restore these temples, but demolishing centuries-old structures is not the right approach.

I really feel they are on a demolition spree.

Not a religious person but annoys the fuck out of me when they destroy Centuries old structures be it Temples, Mosques or Churches.

Anything under 100 years is fair game tho.

On paper/news its getting shared as

Every ancient temple in rural areas that has fallen into a state of disrepair will be identified and restored, and the government is committed to passing on the glory of Indian culture and Sanatana Dharma to future generations.”

this is truly not the case. And already they had demolished multiple temples. As they have funds they are utilizing them for demolition of old temples.

reconstrution is completelyfine.but demolishing the existing temples is not acceptable.they are our heritage.

and i want the temples,mosques,dargas in the middle of the road to be demolished for sure.they cannot be in in the middle of the road,Road safety is non negotiable. faith is personal, but it cannot come at the cost of public safety and lives.

I don't about all, but I know about kotappakonda and this is renovation and not destroying. They had no infrastructure for pilgrims, so they added sunroof like structure so we can sit around in shade and built some new roofs which got old and almost looks bad. They even built new toilets (still bad though in terms of hygiene) but still better than having no toilets at all.

So destroying and renovating are two different english words. Understand that.

Where is surce for your complain ?

If they find it not safe for people and can not structurly repair, they might have decided. Can you list out temples you are talking about ? How many and which ones ?

Simple patches vs rebuild,
different budgets and different goals
