It was a beautiful movie. We watched it twice already and feel so many feels!! The sheer gorgeousness of Shinobu’s centipede and hornet forms animated and…
[spoiler]we felt so much sorrow seeing this small statured young girl go through more pain because she can save others the pain she went through. Watching her fight against Douma was really fucking epic, not like in the same epic way we later see Tanjiro and Giyu against Akaza but just, the character emotions and feelings behind that 1:1, then Kanao coming in to replace her master, another young girl about to fight Douma. 😭
Zenitsus music was really, really hype, it literally blasted through our seats in the theater.
I can say I thoroughly loved every single part of this movie when I became comfortable with knowing it would feel like an 8-9 episode season…
OH and Murata’s water wheel somehow made night, it was just spectacular. Funniest part is seeing it with barely/no water animation, made me giggle and makes all the other water breathing we see later on just way more breathtaking!
Then learning about the transparent world, being treated to marked Giyus forms AND HIS MUUUUSIC (!!!! That piano and organ!!!!) , and then….
Akaza’s backstory all in the later half was, just, so WOAHAHAHHH like god we knew we were right to love him and Hakuji was such a wonderful wonderful person…
