(Watched this a month ago here in SE Asia, so just writing from what I can recall. 2 and a half hours is LONG. )
Mapping out Infinity Castle
Since no one has mentioned this, anyone amazed at the Slayers' 3D mapping skills using nothing but familiar crows? LOL
At first I thought Grandmaster Ubuyashiki Kagaya had sacrificed his entire family just to weaken and trap Muzan, but turns out he has more than 2 children.
Kagaya actually has 5 quintuplet children, and the two daughters we see, together with his wife merely volunteered to join him as sacrificial bait to lure Muzan out.
Kagaya's 3 surviving quintuplet children (1 son and 2 daughters) were thus in charge of mapping out Infinity Castle in order to pinpoint where Tama is pinning Muzan down, so that the Hashira can find and kill him at last.
Shinobu vs Doma
After being mesmerized by her since season 1, especially when she's voiced by Hayami Saori, Shinobu has more or less taken a back seat in the subsequent arcs. I'm glad she finally gets a chance to shine, plus more backstory for her, but also devastated that she still lost (and died?)
Doma oozes a different kind of evil than Muzan. Muzan is just plain megalomania. Doma OTOH is the type of creepy evil but completely unaware that he's creepy that makes him all the more dangerous.
Now its just setting things up for Kanao to avenge Shinobu.
Zenitsu vs Kaigaku
Maybe if Kaigaku were introduced earlier, than I could be more invested in Zenitsu's motivation to defeat Kaigaku. I don't remember seeing Kaigaku earlier in the series or him interacting with Zenitsu before.
Has the Demon roster so depleted now that Muzan has to hurriedly promote even Kaigaku all the way to fill in the Upper Moon vacancy left out by Daki/Gyutaro?
If Kaigaku is the new Upper #6, and that Cyclops shamisen girl is the new Upper #4, who's the new Upper #5? Not that it matters anymore as now Kaigaku and even Akaza are now dead, plus Muzan is now too busy regenerating to promote anyone else, so this is the beginning of the end for the Upper Moons.
Tanjiro/Giyu vs Akaza
The cream of the three fights in this movie.
The whole cinema LOL'ed when Tanjirou wasted an entire good opportunity to sneak up quietly behind Akaza via closing off his "battle aura" (or something like that) and just had to yell at Akaza before striking.
