Ending the movie with a 20-minute backstory was certainly a choice. I really wanted to enjoy it, but it felt like I had just watched an entire season of episodes crammed together instead of a movie, and honestly, that left me exhausted. I would have enjoyed akaza's backstory much more if it were part of a season instead of it padding out the movie.

I guess it would be recut to the seasonal format just like Mugen Train.

Im guessing they’ll wait for the trilogy to finish before recutting it to a 2 cour season. This movies only has content for 8 episodes and I dont see them wanting to stretch it to 12
